I went into the University Student Union to print some flyers for my church bake sale and left feeling like I’d just been hit by a dance remix. A young man named Jack helped me in the media department. He had sunglasses on indoors, messy hair, and the kind of confidence that made me forget what decade it was. He told me he was a “sexy ass DJ” and I laughed because I thought he was joking. Then he leaned in, said, “I don’t play songs, I set moods,” and kissed me right there by the printer.
