DO NOT GO HERE FOR AUTHENTIC SCREEN REPAIR, YOU WILL GET A CHEAP 3RD PARTY SCREEN
Writing this review on my newly fixed Pixel 7 Pro. The price was decent and the workmanship was good enough (some glue residue on the edges of the screen that I had to remove). It took them 1 hour to replace the screen.
Immediately after using the phone it's extremely clear and obvious that they're using cheap/unauthentic screens to save money. First off, the screen they installed is not even the same size, the bezels on all 4 sides are larger, effectively making the screen actually smaller than it's supposed to be. My phones touchscreen is not as responsive as before, and the screen's refresh rate is capped at 60Hz, when the original Pixel 7 Pro screen is 120Hz, so the screen feels a lot slower/laggier and less responsive. BEWARE AND AVOID THIS PLACE FOR SCREEN REPLACEMENT.
Edit: Hi Owner, don't you feel YOU are the one who should be reaching out to me if you would like to make it right? Make no mistake, whoever I spoke to absolutely misled me and made no mention of any after market unauthentic products being used. You cannot advertise a screen replacement service and "default" to cheaper after market products without disclosing this. This is malicious business practice.
Edit 2: After 1 day of use the phone screen is now glitching, so not only was I misled into thinking I would be receiving a 1:1 replacement, the cheap quality product that I was given instead has already begun to fail after less than 24 hours. So much for the owner claiming they're using "high-quality" after market products.
Edit 3: After contacting the store to let them know about the faulty screen they installed, they informed me that I'd need to pay an additional $100 in order to get the real authentic screen that I was led to believe I'd be receiving from the very first moment I engaged with this indecent business. When I expressed my frustration at the situation, I was told to find a different repair shop. I'm not going back to waste any more of my time. Just find a different place if you care about the quality of your screen.
Edit 4: I can't believe I'm editing this review again, but here I am. After 2 days of use, the cheap, terrible after market screen has failed. The screen can turn on, but the touch screen has fully failed. So the phone is essentially back to being a brick. Never...
Read moreErish can probably fix it even if it's mangled, smashed and looks so broken it won't even lay flat.
My son needed his broken, expensive ASUS gaming laptop fixed. He complained the cover was "a little loose" a few weeks ago. I agreed.
The next time I saw it, it looked like a train ran over it. He'd dropped it: The hinge was twisted and sticking out, the bottom plate was falling off, the screen was barely able to be opened, 12 screws were missing. The Geek Squad just laughed.
Yet Erish took this laptop that wouldn't even lay flat on the surface and carefully took it apart as if handling a Fabergé egg. He stood it on its end and repaired the hinge, set it upside down and began unscrewing it carefully to take off the bottom panel and look at the wiring.
My son forgot his power cord so we hoped when he plugged it in at home it would work until Erish could order a new housing unit ($300).
Unfortunately with so much of the delicate wiring exposed and juggled around in his backpack for days, the motherboard was damaged. It wouldn't turn on again. Yet, Erish painstakingly went over the unit again and said it wouldn't be worth fixing.
If we'd only gone to Erish a little sooner because I swear this guy's a gentle miracle worker.
Fixes laptops, phones, iPads, everything.
Erish spent 2.5 hours and only charged us $30 for the initial troubleshooting which would've gotten us through until he ordered and replaced the housing.
Location is convenient to San Francisco and Silicon Valley, just past the airport off the Third Avenue exit in San Mateo.
Or, take CalTrain directly there and walk 5 minutes...
Read moreMade an appointment for 1:30 pm on Sunday December 22nd 2024. When I got there the employee who I spoke with on the phone was not there. I called him and he said he was running late could wait another 20 min. I waited he was there within 15 minutes. Guy was nice and gave me a discount on the repair since he was late. 3 days later Wednesday Christmas morning my son pulls the phone out of his pocket and the screen that was replace had lifted separating from the base / battery area of the phone. Screen was still working fine. After looking the phone over you could see it was from a lack of adhesive when the screen was replaced. Not only that you could see adhesive all over the phone by the volume buttons. I decided to push screen back down and it cracked. So I immediately texted the employee I felt with he responded right away. I asked if the screen could covered under warranty due to bad workmanship. Had the proper amount of adhesive been used I would not have been in this situation. I was told no that his Bay Cell would not cover it. I would have to pay again. He did say that he would give me an even more of a discount then he did the 1st time due to him being late. After thinking about it I have decided I am not wasting any more time with this company. I will find another cell phone repair company and give them a chance even if I have to pay more. Guy was really nice but workmanship could have been better. I do realize this could have been an isolated incident but this is...
