We LOVE Cheap Pete's! We have been loyal customers of CP and Frame-O-Rama (back in the day!) for decades. They have a great selection of custom and on the go frames and mattes. What really sets them apart is their customer service and especially AMAZING Rose in the San Mateo location.

Rose is incredible - she understands what look/feel I want instantly and finds the most creative ways to achieve it. Her work is impeccable and inspiring. Rose's training and mentoring of the team at CP's sets the bar. When there are multiple clients needing her attention, she expertly flits from one to another making us each feel special and addressed while she empowers new team members on how to take next steps to help.

I came in wanting to get my weirdly-sized graduation certificates from overseas framed. A new employee named Elizabeth helped me out - she was great. She made me custom mats so that my certificates would fit a standard sized frame. She was very careful to get the job right and answered all my questions. The store has a wide variety of locally made frames and the consultants will work with you to help you find exactly what you need. The only downside was that the manager (Rose I think) came over and kind of reprimanded the trainee even though she was doing a great job, then got tape on my $250 certificate and ripped it off like my certificate was worthless. I'm sure the manager didn't know how much it would cost to replace the certificate, but that annoyed...

Meghan, who answered my desperate plea for a near-same day print and frame request, was the most friendly, and accommodating, and wonderful person providing customer help in my recent memory. I've driven by Cheap Pete's plenty of times on El Camino or on 4th - and though I don't live in the Bay any more there's something about the experience of getting your precious photo and memory framed here that made it all feel like home all over again. I recommend this business, the idea of uploading one of your favorite phone photos and getting it professionally printed, matted, and framed, right here at Cheap Petes.
