Clawesome Claw Arcade — Local services in San Mateo

I came across Clawsome by chance. I’m glad I did, the arcade is super clean, organized, and honestly pretty addicting once you start playing. The claw machines are set up really well and don’t feel rigged like some other places I’ve been to.

The owners, Leann, Iris, and John, are all really friendly and helpful. They explained their app system, which lets you use digital coins instead of cash (you even get 10 free coins when you sign up). They were also nice enough to help me swap a prize for a different color, which I really appreciated.

They even have Labubu figures, and Leann pointed out that the boxed ones are all authentic. As someone who’s been to arcades in Japan and Seoul, I loved that this spot gave me that same vibe; fun, upbeat, and full of cool prizes.

I randomly stumbled into Clawsome after brunch with a friend and I’m so glad we did! I spent maybe 30 minutes here and walked out with a TON of prizes (and I have zero coordination, so that says a lot) 😂 The vibe instantly reminded me of the claw arcades in Japan and Seoul, super clean, bright, and fun, with machines that actually feel winnable.
