After researching many salons I booked a same day appointment online at Debe Salon with Joanne. When I showed up they sat me immediately however it was with a different stylist. Since I was new I didn't have a preference so I went along with it. I showed her the pictures (see bellow) and told her I mostly needed some off the sides and back. I told her I was a hairstylist for years but wasn't anymore and that I usually cut my own hair but decided to get it done at the salon this time. We had what I considered a good consultation and seemed to be on the same page. She gave me a fast shampoo and got straight to work. The cut came out way shorter than we had discussed and she overused (and misused, in my professional opinion) the thinning shears. There are spots on the sides of my head that look bald and you can see my scalp. The cut came out nothing like what we had discussed and nothing like the picture. My hair looked more like the pictures when I came in. She didn't use any styling products or style my hair and then charged me $60 (online it says $55 and up for haircuts and I don't know what the extra $5 would have been for) The pictures below show what I asked for, what I came in with, and what I left with. I wanted to write a review for this place. If you haven't seen Jay/Tracy, you totally should! I first came in contact with Jay for a quick hair cut with bang trim, and she cut my hair exactly how I wanted per my "MIA WALLACE BANGS" pics. You can also walk in, so it's been very convenient for me. I also went in for a gray balayage appointment with Tracy, and she has had so much patience with me. My hair is naturally black, dense, and complex so getting it to gray wasn't easy BUT she did such a great job in sessions. She even stayed longer than her usual working hours to make sure she got the work done, which I really appreciated :) She is reliant in giving you hair follow up advice as well. She even got me a titanium silver hair treatment as a gift to help with maintenance at home. Again, I really recommend this hair styling place for the quality...

Joanne and Angel did an amazing job with my balayage highlight. I was a new customer and looking around for a hairstylist to get my hair color done and to my surprise Joanne said she could take me in the same day I inquired about a hair consultation. Both Joanne and Angel were patient and took their time. Great teamwork and customer service. The salon is so modern and was decorated so lovely. They also have chalk board artwork on their walls featuring an artist who drew map of France and were playing French music. I loved the upbeat yet relaxing atmosphere. Look no further, you will not be disappointed as they delivered above and beyond my expectations. I’m one happy and satisfied client and will come back for hair color and keratin treatment.
