I really wanted to like MDTC (Myung Dong Tofu Cabin). But as a Korean, I would have to say that the food just fails to impress in many fronts. The Kimchi Pancake was falling apart with inconsistent texture. The Galbi, which is the easiest to get right just with good ingredients, was tough like cardboard - mostly because they would've used the cheapest meat possible. The banchan (side dishes) were decent though but that can't be the highlight. Surprisingly, the Korean Fried Chicken came out pretty good but again, the food quality was all over the place. MDTC is your typical Korean collage comfort food joint and it needs to do a few things right. The grilled meat selection, the tofu soups, the appetizers, all failed to impress. Yet, the bonus - like the fried chicken and banchan - were decent. This was the confusion we all left with. Go here if you're desperate for Korean food. But we won't be returning at least for another few years.

The galbi soup is super flavourful and the beef is very tender. They also gave a lot of beef, I couldn’t finish it on my own. The combo medium soft tofu soup is good but not as spicy as we like (we could barely taste the spice). The side dishes were good, tasted fresh and lots of varieties. We also didn’t pay for them so not sure about the other reviews. Each soup also came with the choice of white or brown rice, but we were pleasantly surprised when the brown rice turned out to be purple rice! They were also trying out new menu items and let us try their fried chicken which was yummy but the white meat was a little dry. There’s 5% discount if you pay cash

My go to korean restaurant. It is a small restaurant that changed the owner during pandamic. It is located in the Marina Plaza shopping center. It has been opened for I think more than 10 years. In the past, I visited this restaurant regurally. I am glad the offer banchan for free again. The food quality is still the same as before. I like the new menu of fried chicken. It is juicy and yummy. It is just not like the picture on the wall. Now they seem shorthanded, so be patience. It is a good place for authentic korean restaurants. The other dishes I like are korean armey Stew, which you need to call a head for ordering.

Family’s style restaurants. We came because of some Korean food cravings. Our favorite is tofu stew, so we ordered it in this new place we found. The tofu stew was good for my husband’s extra spicy, but my white tofu stew was quite bland. I expected no spicy tofu stew should at least have some flavors, like how other Korean restaurants do. This one was too plain so I asked for extra side dishes to eat with it. It was a disappointment because we always have to order one white tofu stew for our toddler to share with us. Other than that, the banchan was okay. Services were good. If you pay cash, you get 5% discounts.

A couple of us were trying to go to the new ramen place that opened nearby but the line was too long so we came here instead. There was plenty of room and seating at 6pm on a Saturday. The parking lot is nice and big. The food is yummy but expensive. The tofu soup is too salty. But the meat is nice. We got the bulgogi full size which is pretty big and could serve 2+ people. The chicken wings were pretty good and big too. They served hot tea after we were seated. The seafood pancake is pretty standard. Overall good food and vibes but it is pretty expensive.

Amazing Korean food! Best bon chon flavors we have had on the peninsula. Service is friendly and the people are very kind and check to make sure the order is right! We also got the tofu soup (which was very good and not overly salty like some places) and the dolsot bibembop which is one of the best ones on the peninsula because the chicken is big chunky pan fried and so flavorful and the veggies are not the cheap kinds but the kind that is fresh and easy to chew (you know what I mean if you have had this!). Thank you our second time here and we love it!
