They bought out MI PUEBLO N I GOTTA SAY ITS EXPENSIVE N ONLY HALF AS GOOD AS THE OTHER STORE N THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE ARE NOT HAPPY... THERE IS A DEFINITE CURRENT OF CLASSLESSNESS WHICH IS QUITE APPARENT...FOOD IS NOT AS GOOD AS IS SERVICE...I MEAN I WENT THERE WHEN IT WAS THE OTHER RIP OFF TO GET PRODUCE CAUSE IT WAS GOOD N BRAVED THE LONG LINES CAUSE THEY WERE TOO CHEAP TO PUT MORE CASHIERS N SO LET THE CUSTOMERS SUFFER....WHICH THEY DID WILLINGLY CAUSE THEY WERE N ARE IDIOTS ..N BY THAT I MEAN THESE PEOPLE DONT SPEAK ENGLISH....NOT EVEN SPANISH WELL...NOT REAL SPANISH..N STILL THEY GO THERE CAUSE I GUESS IT HAS THE LOUD TACKY MUSIC N OTHER PEOPLE LIKE THEM THERE....BUT TO PAY 7 BUCKS FOR TUBE OF COLGATE N MOST OTHER ITEMS OVERPRICED TOO IS DISGUSTING...THESE PEOPLE WHO OWN THESE STORES EXPLOIT THEIR OWN PEOPLE N DONT CARE...SO MANY DONT MAKE THAT MUCH MONEY....U THINK THEY TRY GIVING THEM A BREAK? HELL NO...WHICH GOES TO SHOW YOU THESE LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES ARE RUN BY A RICH CLASS MAKING MONEY ON THE BACKS OF THE POOR N IGNORANT...THEY ARE SMART THOUGH...THEY KNOW WHEREVER THEY GO THESE STORES WILL BE THERE TO SUCK...

Soooo... it's been a few years since my last review of Cardenas Market, and it's well over due. The produce LOOKS beautiful, but beware most is way far from being ripe. Meat department has come a long way, and looks great. The bakery is SUPER AWESOME!!! I introduced my husband to the milk cakes, they are to die for!!! Other grocery stores have tried to imitate, but they failed. They finally got self check out!!!! Yay!!! It really helps with the lines, reduces time in line by at least half. The only complaint I have is really with management, its like they have tried extra hard to keep the workers as well as signage as segregated as possible, fortunately I grew up in the Canal area and can read and speak enough Spanish to get me by.

I stopped coming to the store for a few years because the food wasn't any good and I decided to give it another try this year 2024 the food got better but the promise these people have the worst attitudes!!! We were ordering and they literally left the line because they're arguing who's going to take over the line to make the orders and I was just one incident what happened this next time I went in and the lady just put everything on my taco without even asking me and she said well that goes on it that's what you get. Great prices on regular food by when it comes down to the restaurant I recommend not even trying to go in there unless you're ready to be upset and mad at yourself or...
