I've been snowboarding for 19 years and have bought loads of boards and gear through local shops and online stores. I am very particular about what I choose to ride, so in many cases I am forced to shop online -- it's easier to get what I want, and I don't have to fret about explaining something to a seasonal shop employee at a larger "big box" outdoors store (even Sports Basement falls into this category during the snow season).

I cannot stress this enough: Steve and the rest of the staff at Demo Sport are HANDS DOWN the most knowledgeable snowboard supplier in the greater Bay Area, and provided the BEST customer service I've ever experienced while buying a snowboard. Steve didn't bat an eye when I told him the board I hoped to buy -- he ordered the board for me directly through the manufacturer, as he didn't carry the model. When the first board didn't fit exactly right, he ordered a second size for me, no questions asked. You would be extremely hard-pressed to find this kind of care anywhere else. I will be buying all of the gear that I can through Demo Sport from now on, and singing their praises to the groups I ride with around the Bay....
