They have good product selection and pricing is ok a little higher than average but they are close and more convenient than Home Depot.
The problem is the people I have been in the store 4-5 times in the past couple months and they donât seem to be customer oriented.. you get ignored while they engage with people they obviously know in personal conversations not relating to business at hand while there are less than 10 people in the store and 5 are waiting in line or needing help but they just continue taking about gossip or what ever personal stuff they are taking about.. what really made me post this is I ordered a water heater part online for in store pickup. I know the part arrived yesterday morning because customer service says it did.. the part is for pick up today but was there on the truck for today.. so I go in and try to get the part because we have had no hot water for 5 days as waiting on the part. I am told by the manager at the helpful hub itâs on a pallet and wonât be off the pallet for me until later today.. not hey let me grab that off the pallet for you or let me got someone to help you.. nope just itâs here but we wonât get it to you till later today.. when asked what that means I am told it wonât be until later this evening.. itâs 11 am the parts been here since yesterday mornings truck and now I have to wait until evening which means I am waiting until late at night to complete the repair and if I have any issue or need additional parts ect it will be too late to get them so down another day without hot water because the store manager canât be bothered with going to back and getting the order.. customer service is what matters most in a customer service business and this Ace has made it every time I have gone in that they donât want or...
Read moreWent to buy a tool set for my 18 year old son. After making our selections, I handed my debit card to my son to go pay while I ran to the restroom. When i returned to the cashier, I was asked to produce my ID to show the debit card was mine. The clerk Jason, explained that the purchase was over 50.00 so an ID was required to proceed with the purchase. I questioned why? My son was using a pin to make the purchase? Jason mumbled something about store policy. ??? I have spent large dimes of money in my local Ace and never once asked for an ID. I suggest he was questioning my sonâs legitimacy using a debit card at age 18. Jason made the transaction seem awkward. I would understand if every transaction over 50.00 was required to show an ID, but Iâve never been asked. I also suggest had I not gone to the restroom and went to the counter myself to purchase the merchandise, I would not have been asked for my ID. Is this age discrimination or just some weird bias towards my son today. At the completion of the sale, I mentioned having a Ace customer card and I wanted my transaction to be added to my account. Jason said it wasnât possible after the sale was finalized. Ace may not be the...
Read moreWent in yesterday, had the worst experience with the lady at the register..kind of doppelgänger of Billy Ray Cyrus in his Achy Breaky Heart music video, if you know what I mean. Anyway, she didnât acknowledge me at all. And when I walked up to the register to ask about a mower, it wasnât until I stood directly in front of her for a bit until she reluctantly said, âcan I help you?â, meanwhile still having never looked at me. I asked about the mower I had been looking at and between bites of her food, she gave me a bit of information that I could barely understand. It ended up not having a part I needed, so I told her Iâd pass on it and said âthanksâ. I mightâve gotten back a grunt? Haha. Still didnât look at me once. A few men walked in after me and they got a nice âhelloâ and eye contact. By the looks, Iâm assuming sheâs probably the type to wear a white hood on the weekends and that it might embarrass her to look a person of color in the face. In any case, we ended up at Ace in Cottonwood and actually got really great, friendly service. Wonât be...
