I was blown away by my recent experience at Sandy Cinema! It had been years since I'd been to a movie theater, and I have to admit, my expectations were pretty low, especially for a theater in a smaller town. Boy, was I wrong! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how modern and clean everything was. The lobby was bright and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The concession stand had all the usual goodies, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable – a refreshing change from the usual movie theater markup! The auditorium itself was fantastic. The seats were comfortable, with plenty of legroom, and the screen and sound system were top-notch. It truly felt like a premium movie-going experience. What really stood out, though, was the overall atmosphere. It was clear that the theater takes pride in providing a great experience for their customers. Wow I’ll just write this review while I’m waiting for my movie. We just got here to see Freakier Friday with my daughter and went in the theater a bit early. We immediately noticed the heat in there and were talking about it. Before we even saw the gentleman cleaning he loudly and sarcastically says, “Ohhhh did you think you were going to enjoy the movie in a nice cool theater? Not today! The AC is broken”. It is important to note his tone was so obnoxious as if he took pleasure in the fact that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our movie in comfort. I mentioned that he seemed to be talking pleasure in this fact and he said he was “just stating facts”. Things happen, we get that. It’s also really hot for Oregon right now. But his attitude, coupled with staff not having the decency to INFORM us of the AC being out is inexcusable and inappropriate. Will drive to Gresham from now on for a nicer theater and...

I love going to the movies at the Sandy cinema, my favorite part? Why it’s the friendly staff of course! Let me tell you a story. One day on a particularly hot day in Sandy I was ready to go watch a movie because I’m a freak and enjoy spending time inside in the dark when it’s nice outside. Hmmm I believe I was going to see…. Oh! Freaky Friday! When I walked in the theater one of the staff members said “I hope you didn’t want to watch a movie at a nice cool temperature, the ac is broken.” Loved this guys sense of humor. It took what would have been a somewhat unfortunate event and totally turned my smile upside down. Thank you awesome staff from Sandy cinema. I could not imagine driving all the way to Gresham to see a movie so I’m really glad this spot exists. I also love the parking lot.
