My experience with this Subway was atrocious.
When I entered, I asked the employee if it was possible to get the Steak, Egg, and Cheese sandwich with chicken instead of steak. She replied that yes, it was possible, and when I asked what the price difference would be, she told me to check the Build Your Own menu for price differences. I assumed she meant that because the chicken sandwich was a similar price to the steak sandwich that there wouldn't be much of a price difference. When she made the sandwich, she didn't add the eggs to the sandwich before toasting, and after the sandwich was done toasting I asked her to heat the eggs up as well. She asked if I wanted 2 or 4 eggs, and I replied that it should be 4 eggs on that sandwich. She told me that 4 eggs would be $3. I told her that they should come with it, considering I'm specifically ordering a breakfast sandwich, and she told me that you can't substitute meat, and to get egg on a chicken sandwich you had to do a Build Your Own. She went to the register and told me that the price would be $14 or so, and considering I was ordering what is normally an $8 sandwich, I was upset. I explained that the only reason I did chicken was because she said that I could substitute, and that I did not want to pay that much. She asked if I wanted the sandwich, and I said that if I can't get that current sandwich at the price I was expecting, then I would have gotten a Steak Egg and Cheese instead.
She then proceeded to pick up the sandwich and THROW IT AWAY, and get out another piece of bread to make a Steak Egg and Cheese.
That level of waste is absurd, both wasting the food itself but also wasting the company's money. Not being supposed to substitute is fine because policy is policy, but throwing away the sandwich defeats the purpose of policies like that. Compromise would have resulted in me being happy and satisfied, and Subway would not have wasted the materials of an entire sandwich, and instead Subway has wasted money, and now I'm disappointed and upset enough that I am wasting my time to write out a long review over the experience.
She then proceeded to make my normal sandwich, and while it was toasting she asked what veggies I wanted. I told her I wanted light lettuce, onions, jalapenos, and banana peppers, and instead of waiting for the sandwich to come out, she took a handful of lettuce and spread it out directly on the prep surface, followed by the rest of my veggies.
There's a reason they put a piece of paper beneath your sandwich, and that's because the prep surface is not properly cleaned enough for food and allergens. Thankfully I don't suffer from food allergies, but if they will do something once then they may do it again with a customer that WILL be affected I am not sure why she would have thought that was okay, but due to the previous issue I didn't even bother commenting. It didn't even save any time, as she then had to pick up the lettuce by hand, place it on the sandwich, and then sweep away the extra lettuce and clean up.
Once the sandwich was done, I paid and left, and plan never to return to this...
Read moreWe had received a coupon in the mail so we decided to head into town to the Subway on 7/23/23. There was a sign on the door saying the card reader was down, cash only. That was fine as I had cash. I had a coupon in hand that read three footlongs for $17.99. Once we got to the register (after the sandwiches were made) I handed the cashier the coupon. She said they could not take coupons because the machine was down. Three sandwiches total $33.67. Seems to me that she could have charged us for two, which would have still been more... but a lot closer to the coupon price. If the sign on the door had mentioned 'no coupons', I would have made other arrangements beforehand. The girls were friendly and fast, and I am not one to argue with three people in line behind me so I just paid and left. This can still be made right and I would gladly change...
Read moreWent in a few days ago for my lunch, and let me just say one of the girls working there has no reason to be so nasty and rood to others. The person in front of me did not speak the best English, and as he’s trying to ask for his sandwich this girl is yelling at him for what kind of bread and meat. Mind you the customer before him was not being yelled at.She continues this attitude down the line, talking unnecessarily loud to this specific customer, and when one of the other girls comes out to assist me I can tell she is not comfortable with the aggressiveness of the other girl. I took a look at the girls name tag that was being rood, and I am positive her name was Neveah. Owner or manager should look into this young lady, other workers and customers shouldn’t be intimidated by the person making...
