Bowl-A-Rama — Local services in Sanford

Always helpful and friendly.The people that work there have big hearts have been exceedingly kind to us Great family atmosphere. An affordable arcade is available and in full view for the kids' safety. Food is wonderful with a bar option of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Machines available for other snacks and drinks. Baffled lanes are available for kids birthday parties. The Bowl A Rama accommodates persons with handicaps. Glo n Bowl is available on Fridays and Saturdays during specific times with disco and black lights. Music, at that time, is turned up and fun. Wonderful and wouldn't miss it. I am working off pounds preparing for bi-lateral knee replacements and have lost quite a bit of weight. I joined the summer league with no experience, whatsoever, continued with the Fall League and now Winter. I can't say I am a great bowler but I try. All skill levels are welcome there. My husband has also joined and we are no longer in front of a tv or computer getting fatter. We are now hooked on bowling. I am addicted and plan to continue to meet my weight loss goal. We are thrilled with the friends we have made and appreciate the many kindnesses shown to us and our friends that we bring in. The folks there are fun and will help you any way they can. I can't say enough about all that they do for our community....

I really wish I could have given 5 stars because I love this place, have been going here my whole life, but on NYE I took my husband and son there to have some bowling fun and the owner, who has also been there forever is just so rude. It was EXTREMELY clear he only really cares about the leagues and I'm sure with smittys up the road, that's where most of their money comes from but still. We walk in and he ins snappy saying he'll be with us in a minute, as if we had been non stop bugging him or something. He goes into the back room and we're just standing around. Phone rings and he comes right out, went to walk up to the counter and he snapped at me again that he wasn't ready and then proceeded to take the phone call right in front of us and talk about the leagues. As if he couldn't have said, hold please and gave us 3 pairs of shoes and turned on our lane and then took the call. When he did finally help us it took all...

So we decided that on our family trip, that we would go out for a fun bowling night at the good ole bowl a rama! First off we went to dunkin donuts for a coffee for my diabetic aunt with low blood sugar and needed something to raise it. So, we get there and some old ass bearded guy comes out and says, "We all bowling or what?" And we responded with yes. He says, "i see you have a drink there" we say that she's diabetic and needs it. He replies with, "well what is someone who is extremely diabetic doing with a giant coffee, huh?" And we gave him a dirty look and just said bye and that we'd go somewhere else. What a douchecanoe. Who makes fun of an old lady with diabetes who trying to fix it? Horrible customer service. Whomever owns the place needs to reconsider...
