ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. This place does not meet the Otto standards. The pizza slices are small, dry and burnt. The salads are nearly 1/2 the size of the other Ottos but are the same price. The waitstaff is not trained, like really not trained. The owner parks his Jeep in the space between 2 handicap spaces (illegal and obstructive for the 2 handicap spaces) when there is plenty of parking otherwise. He sits at the counter on his computer ignoring customers and staff even when there is an issue he should really be helping with. He seems arrogant, stingy and neglectful. Kinda feels like he just wants to be important and an owner of something. Also feels like he’s too good to deal with staff or customers…or park in the back area so customers can park close to the door. He should be ashamed of himself. Any other Otto is better than this one but I like the Biddeford location the most. I highly recommend their double crust pizza, meatballs, cheese bread, their super fresh salads and the rewards punch card for slices. Staff is so nice and they have the old gas station doors open...
Read moreI love Otto pizza and was so excited for them to open in Sanford. When we went, however, the service was so bad we left without eating. The restaurant wasn’t busy, just a couple of people at the bar and one other table, no one waiting on slices or takeout. When someone took our order he seemed entirely unfamiliar with the menu (we didn’t order anything off menu or complex) and asked what seemed like obvious questions. Then someone came to the table to ask again what we wanted on the pizza… just literally what it said on the menu for one of their specialty pies. We waited more than half an hour and never even got our drinks, while the guy who took our order ate his own lunch at the counter and the three other staff stood around chatting, because again it wasn’t busy. When another table sat and ordered and immediately got their drinks, and water, and actual service we finally gave up. Guess it wasn’t in the cards...
Read moreFirst pizza, no sauce…argument about whether or not sauce comes on the pizza. Customer asks staff to look at menu to see that sauce does come on the pizza. Customer brings back first pizza and asks for remake WITH sauce. Staff gives customer a lesson on what comes on the pizza. Customer says “I know what comes on it, I’ve ordered it multiple times in the past and it always had sauce on it.” Staff tells customer they will remake it exactly how customer got it the first time. Customer asks for sauce on it this time. Customer waits patiently for remade pizza. Customer leaves, they close, still no sauce on the pizza. When your staff is too busy arguing with customers and then remakes it the same way that caused the customer to return it the first time just to prove a point, you’ve got problems. Never again Sanford..I’ll go back to Biddeford where they don’t have “issues” making the pizza the way the menu describes...
