Colonial Town Park — Local services in Sanford

This was once the heart of entertainment and fun for Seminole county and surrounding county residents. It's now a desolate "ghost town" with empty venues, outrageous rent and businesses focusing on retail sales instead of live/fun entertainment. No more Cinco de Mayo block parties with open drinks and Margarita's. No more "Adult Halloween 🎃 block parties"with open cups,live stage bands and contests for the best dressed. No more fun New Years eve countdowns with our favourite neighborhood bands and DJ's, and no more St. Patricks day block party events. Dexter's which featured Magic Mike our great DJ and ladies night is a thing of the past. Graffiti and Carlos and Charlys along with PINT and Liam's Fitzpatrick are all gone. This place is no longer a park for entertainment and fun for mature adults. It's a shame people have to go to Cafe Muranos and Maitland to have fun after seeing boring businesses with no entertainment for Lake Mary and Heathrow residents, just like a balloon🎈 popping no energy, no air, no fun. Now another business has failed (Chocolate candy) venue and they unfortunately are making it an Eye glass venue. I envisioned this place to be a park with open bars, live music and a place to walk around and enjoy after a hard day's work. Today marked my first day being to a theater in 14 years. 14! I am glad chose this one. During the afternoon on a weekday, it is scarce. Nice and quiet, fast through to the movie. Saw Tomb Raider, which was great! Anyway. The theater is very clean, and is very nice. Seats are comfortable, and RECLINE! Best row is definitely C! I didn't get any snacks, however I wouldn't be surprised to find them to be good.

My only complaint would be the screen the film was projected on was a little dirty. Unnoticeable during dark scenes, but bright scenes, it's clear. That's just knit picky, but I'm observant.

Nice mix of businesses and restaurants. Very family-friendly but also great for adults wanting a fun night out. Great place to walk around after eating at one of the restaurants. The shopping center has undergone changes; some places have left while new businesses have come in. Hope they fill the old Graffiti Junktion spot soon as it looks very depressing empty). Bring in an upscale bar!

There’s been some trouble makers hanging around the movie theatre in the past but it seems they’ve tried addressing this by having a Seminole county deputy patrol that particular area. Parking is very tight on weekends, which is to be expected. Wish they had more options, like a...
