Blended Bistro & Boba Lake Mary — Restaurant in Sanford

Let me start by saying I tips 20% when I paid for my food and was smiling and friendly with the staff from the get go to only get bad service from an employee who might be on drugs.

When I entered, the cashier (red hair women ) was super nice and offered me a menu.

The Asian cashier was nice as well. He did tell me they ran out of rice when I tried to order a poke bowl.

How the hell dose a Asian restaurant run out of rice ?! Like the Publix is down the street, go buy a bag. There no excuse to not have a basic ingredient.

But whatever, I went with my back up and order the Yaku udon. My friends and I all order second from each other.

They got their food within 10 ish minutes of ordering. While I sat there waiting for over 40 minutes for my food. I didn’t realize how long I was waiting until I noticed my friends half way done with their food. The staff forgot my fiancé and I ordered food.

Once they final bought the food to us, the dirty blonde lady basically drop the plate on the table with no forks, napkins and our boba teas. So I got up to get some forks and napkins. She throw napkins at me once she saw me come to the counter. I didn’t even say anything about the missing tools or very late food. I was smiling when I got up because I didn’t want to make a big deal.

But I did mention in a very polite and smiling demeanor “hey I ordered some tea, and I didn’t get them”. The blonde then goes “oh I forgot you order them, what did you get?”

This confirmed she did indeed forgot we ordered completely . She gave me the wrong tea and took forever to make them.

Honestly I think she was on drugs based on her body language. She was sluggish and looked like she was on another planet.

It’s very disappointing to say the least.

The food wasn’t any better. They put a lot of flour to thicken the sauce making the food very gains. I only ate it because I was very hungry and I paid a lot for the food. Also I hate wasting food.

I hate being confrontational, so I didn’t say anything. Instead I’m focusing my energy into my google review, so other people know how bad the service is.

Hello! I picked this place to go to for a night out with friends and I got volcano fries, krab Rangoon, and crème brûlée boba milk tea. The boba tea was underwhelming. Another boba tea place I go to puts actual crème brûlée crème on top of the crème brûlée milk tea and which makes it taste like the real thing. This one just had crème brûlée syrup on the side of the cup, so that was that. The volcano fries, fries topped with crab salad, were really good and juicy, but alas I cannot say the same thing for the krab Rangoon.

It tasted horrible, the cream cheese was chunky and bland while the wrapping was stale and flavorless, even my friend thought so. I should have taken the taste of it as a red flag to not continue eating it, but I didn’t because I was trying to be nice and not make the employees feel bad because I threw their food away.

Other than that, the place looked pretty nice, even though I didn’t like the song choice. I mean this is a place teens probably hang out at, and the songs were nasty explicit, but whatever that’s just personal preference. The songs, although bad, aren’t the real reason why I gave this place a one star… it was the krab Rangoon! It gave me food poisoning; I can’t make this stuff up. After a few minutes of eating it, my stomach started to churn and I was half expecting to throw up in front of everyone in the restaurant. Whoever gave me moldy cream cheese, I hope you’re happy that I didn’t throw up because if I did I would’ve reported your establishment to the health department. Be forewarned though because I will return here and get the same thing to see if I suffer the same fate and if I do, I will report you to the health department.

Food poisoning is something that can make people very sick and/or die and I would feel incredibly guilty if someone went here and got sick or died and could have been saved if I hadn’t sugarcoated my review. So today is Veterans Day and I was inquiring if they were having any deals which if not is no issues and they were not. However, the girl with blonde hair and dark roots acted like I was bothering her. There were no other customers in line. Then because the menu was extensive I asked for any recommendations. Then she mumbled 2 options that I could barely hear and I inquired about them and same thing with the acting like I was bothering her. After I completed my order she went to the other worker and started whispering something and giggling. While I can’t say for sure, it did seem like she was talking about me. I never did anything to this woman.

As for the boba. 90% ice 8% boba 2% tea. Total rip off. As for the “shaking steak” it had 90% potatoes, 6% rice 4% steak. And they advertise it with more meat. The steak was the most horrible texture and also hard. Tasted old. I will compliment the taste of the tea and of the sauce in the shaking steak. My boyfriend got a poke bowl with steak and is now throwing up after eating it. My bowl has also upset my stomach which had steak as well but a different type. As I type this my stomach is burbling and I am trying to get it out of me because I am in pain. We both have food poisoning and the terrible attitude of the cashier was just the ice on the cake.
