TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER

Please help resolve a public health and safety issue at this store location.

A few days ago as a first time shopper at DD’s while in line waiting to purchase items I observed a cashier who seemed to be dissatisfied with her job because she kept saying to customers with a look of irritation “next” each time she concluded a transaction. That’s not what great customer service looks like to me.

As a Pediatric Nurse I do have an obligation to protect my patients, that’s my responsibility. Your employee attempting to interfere with me doing so was unacceptable

I observed this person whose name I was told is Celia or something close to that scratching her forehead, running her hands through her hair and scratching her skin inside her shirt. When I got the the register I asked her to sanitize her hands, she stated she had done so recently. I stated that I had observed her doing all of the things I mentioned previously and she needs to sanitize her hands because each member of the public has a right to be safe. Your employee got an attitude, I elected to get a store supervisor involved and explained what happened and that I felt the cashier, the face of DD’s needs to be trained on how provide safe and FRIENDLY customer service to your customers.

Please don’t take my word for it, ask your store supervisor to show you the surveillance footage and you will see why this individual Celia should NOT be a cashier. Never argue with a customer re: their right to safety. It is DD’s responsibility to ensure that all employees are properly trained on public health and safety matters, so I ask that this matter be taken seriously and as a high priority....

UPDATE to my original review I spoke with a Supervisor by the name of Marina on my next visit to DD’s. Marina assured me that she and her counterpart had spoken with Celia re: the importance of providing excellent, friendly customer service and the right of every customer to protect their health and be safe. I appalled and appreciate Marina’s professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction and thus will continue to shop at this location. Well done...
