Okay so I hope this helps you guys when making a decision on going to metro, I went in today to buy a phone I was a new customer, and I went in to get a phone, I wanted the 30 dollar plan but after I paid and left I saw for the service plan it said "38" when I went back to speak to the manager I said I wanted to know what the charges were, and he told me it was insurance and name I'd , I asked him what they were and why I got charged, I told him the girl that helped me didn't tell me anything about these features, and I said why was I given them if I wasn't offered, I might have taken them, but the thing is I was forced into it, then I asked the manager why they did that he sided with the girl that helped me and said "well it's a $240 phone, it comes with the insurance and caller ID thing, you're responsible for the phone for 90 days if you don't want it you can take it off" I was shocked and I asked him why he did that and I said thats not how to do business his response was that "that's how we do thing at this store" and I just couldn't believe it they force you to pay for something without telling you I feel like I was slammed, when I had Verizon this happened to me, but it was worse because of contract, I cant believe metro does things this way, and at the end the manager was like "oh well we can just cancel we don't do refunds" am just shocked, I called customer service and just cancelled my plan, I don't wanna do business with them I'm just going to cricket, this was shady I hope metro fixes this, they just lost a customer, BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE THEY SLAM AND LIE TO YOU
Update: I just called at 7:15 to cancel my service and I wanted to make a complaint and the employee from customer service "Erika 309292" said that the system automatically adds insurance and name I'd to every new line that is activated, and if we as customers don't like it then we have to call customer service to remove it, honestly it makes me sick to think that we have to pay for something we don't want let alone told we are paying for #isthisreallymetro #howisthislegal scammers at the store and...
Read moreIn the first two days of me being with them (my two days off) they've already lost me, and it makes me so angry, because these two days off I wasted running around doing what they told me to do to get my phone fixed, then they tell me that they're not going to reimburse me for the uber rides I had to take to do all that running around, and to top it all off, when I asked them for the customer service line so I could talk to their manager to get the situation fixed, they charged my account again so that the machine would say that I owe them money and not let me through! And keep in mind, that charge was for them to change my number and fix my phone THAT SHOULD'VE WORKED RIGHT OUT OF THE STORE! This is also a charge that i was informed "wouldn't cost me anything out of pocket." It turns out what that really means is that you have to pay the first month fee AGAIN and they reimburse you for it LATER! If I have to pay for the phone right now and do all of the steps to fix it right now, the problems and all of its remnants should be dealt with as your finishing up in the store, not "later" once you leave the store. And honestly, I can see why they do this. I'm only one person, so they can afford to just lose one customer because I am so insignificant to there bottom line: their profits. One person means nothing to them, but to those who read this, please, don't waste your time with this company. Anyone will tell you that metro PCS is the worst cellular provider of the available options, and I've just joined that list of people. I wish that I had known sooner, but if I can save at least 1 other person from this train-wreck of a company, then my time wasted with them will not have been in vain. This company is bad, and they deserve a 1 star rating. That's it, have...
Read moreAfter purchasing my phone and 1st months service I noticed on receipt that I was charged for $45 plan. After confronting Rep re: this he said that 1st months payment is always $45 for everybody. DESPITE THE MASSIVE AD CAMPAIGN THAT SAYS $40 PERIOD. Also refused to give me rebate form for $20 OFF KIYOCERA DOMINO PHONE. He instead lied again by saying he already gave me an Instant $20 rebate, and that Domino's regular price is $49. I confirmed on Metro's web site and with other stores that EITHER WAS TOO LAZY TO GIVE ME REBATE FORM, Confused, OR HE IS LIAR.
I went back to the same rep soon after filing complaint BBB online. I went there after confirming with Marco at diga Wireless(authorized dealer with metropcs) that I understood correctly regarding ability to sign up for $40 plan right away. As luck would have it the store at 2307 S Bristol St #B was very busy at that time. I took a number from kiosk and waited for my # to be called. As luck would have it again I happen to get called by the same rep. I asked for $5 refund and to switch to $40/month plan, also asked for rebate. Again he refused to do both. Said it was impossible to do, computer won't let him. Said everybody has to pay $45 first time. I then told him that I checked with another store, and Marco verified my understanding of offers from website. He still proclaims innocence and assured me that he would not go to all this trouble to steal $5 from me.
From their official answer to my complaint I am guessing this employee will maybe be promoted? for his awesome customer service and enterprenurial spirit.
Please beware of this store and keep personal ID and credit card disclosure to a minimum. Recommend paying cash if at all.
Peace be...
