My fiance and I went shopping here a few weeks ago, and we had a mediocre experience. It was his first time at the store, and we had spent about $150 worth of food. As we were leaving, he was exiting toward the entrance, I nagged him to turn around because the exit was another door. We had a cart full of BAGGED food because I took my own bags as usual. A woman who was working there asked us if we had checked out, haha. The nerve of her to assume we were stealing! Let me tell you something, if you thought were going to walk out with a cart full of food because we're hispanic, you are in for a big surprise. Around here, hispanics are everywhere. We own businesses and work in the medical field, and you can take your racist assumptions out of your workplace. In my culture it is terrible to steal, it brings dishonor and bad fortune FYI. About the store, I was excited when they opened an Aldi near our business, but the selection is just meh if you are like us and only consume organic foods. It is a good place to pick up some organic cow milk under $5 though. They had a very small section for organic produce. I really liked that they had grass-fed beef, organic chicken, and a few other small things like organic maple syrup. I probably won't be returning there much. I'll continue to get most of my food from WF or Trader Joe's, and Stater Bros....
Read moreIt took some practice to find my way around and scout out items but after a few trips I got it down. In a nutshell I am eating much healthier and allowing myself way more gourmet items (you know those little goodies that are usually too pricey to justify). The quality is exceptional and the most I've spent on a 2 week grocery bill was $87. That kept me in shrimp, scallops, turkey, pot roast, blue cheese burgers and all my hearts desires. I no longer find the need to supplement my aldi shop with a stater bros buy. This would be enough to earn my repeat business but I cannot leave out the employees. Whoever did the hiring here absolutely nailed it. They are wonderful and actually understand customer service. 100% helpful 0% attitude. After a recent shop I got caught with a car battery that was at death's door. Before I could dial roadside assistance the greeter saw me in distress, got me help and on my way before the ice cream melted. So gracious! I didn't even have to ask. In closing this is a shop you simply must try. So much good stuff for so little, It's worth the effort of bagging your own goods. And don't forget the wonderful staff. Ask,...
Read moreI really like this place, i love their pumpkin seed and flaxseed granola for my homemade acai bowls, mountain trail mix and they really great essentials for my kitchen like potatoes, tomatoes, strawberries and etc for great price. Their meat selection is really good too. A few tips for first time visitors 1.take your own shopping bags because they don't have any, not even the plastic .10 ones that other groceries sell they scan your items really fast and fill up your cart which doesn't really give you time to load your bags at the register but don't worry you'll see a long bar behind the registers next to the exit where you can fill up your box bags on your own there. (you can sometimes get boxes from their bin like costco) lastly, take a quarter to unlock a cart! because the carts have an anti-theft lock on the side of the handles where you insert a quarter and it releases the chain so you can pull out the cart and use it while you shop, when you are done, push the cart back in and click in the front cart's chain to release your quarter back. It's pretty neat, some ppl might find it annoying but i think it's a great...
