You need to have the right color of skin in order to get nice treatment from recieving dept. Came here for delivery couple hours before appointment. Seen another truck about to leave asked him if they are recieving right now he said of course he just got unloaded (he was Latino man) he said go inside receiving department and they will give you a door right away. I go inside stand there like an idiot for 45 minutes seen bunch of workers and recievers walk around basically 15 feet away from me behind the glass. They seen me dozens of times just walk by and not even acknowledge anyone is there. Wish someone walked up and said we are not recieving right now or at least some info. I waved and waved. Looked at the sheet 4 people got unloaded within last hour. Finally another driver showed up told me same thing yes they are receiving right now. Asked him to call someone for me. He called a reciever he came took my paperwork told me to wait. Miguel, Alfonso, Rodrigo, and Juan had no problem getting unloaded and I had only 2 pallets offered to do my own lumper he said I have to wait but Juan showed up after me and his apt time was 2 hours after mine and he go unloaded in 15 minutes. HR is the biggest joke at this place. Can't express how uncomfortable the lack of professionalism that is blatantly displayed by the entire HR team. It's almost daily you hear an unsavory or inappropriate conversation held from some of the HR members themselves.
There's a reason why EXTREMELY qualified, hard working employees end up leaving. There's a consistent pattern of this. Either you conform to a high load, low pay job here with slim chances of upward mobility, or do what most qualified employees end up doing anyways, you leave.
Pros: There's no uniform policy. You can dress comfortably. There's a cool half empty raisin bran box of cereal in the employees break room that's been there since at least 2018. It was still there in 2024. The lunch truck.
Cons: HR. Pay. Parking. Archaic technology. BYO keyboard and work chair, or get stuck with ones that have had an unknown number of previous users.
One star for Raygun
