Extremely incompetent and apathetic pharmacy staff. You can’t work through challenges with this pharmacy- if your order isn’t simple they become defensively hostile. Im always very polite with them, so I never understood that part. So if you must fill an rx here, don’t ever point out their mistakes, not even politely; they WILL form a posse against you and make it hard to get meds (hang up EVERYTIME I call, tell me they don’t have scripts for me before checking, etc). Or maybe they only did it to me (as a black woman I do tend to earn some confusing and unwarranted hostility) . Either way, that’s who you’re dealing with here. Here’s one of several examples: there was a tech who deleted my script and denied I ever had it on file because she thought I hung up on her. Her supervisor backed her up till I showed evidence, and even then the sup still wouldn’t release the name of the tech. It’s like middle school. Overall, the staff makes it obvious that you need the meds more than they want to dispense it, so they use it as some weird powertrip leverage/punishment. I know good pharmacies are few and far between (which is why no one feels pressure to change), but trust me, this is the worst option if you care about your health and want to stay healthy. Mentally, no one there is older than 5. That’s who you’re...
Read moreIf you were to try to find a less competent and less pleasant pharmacy anywhere in the United States you would be hard-pressed. It's always a long wait or a problem almost every time. Last time I dropped off three prescriptions. I came back to pick them up when I was instructed to however only two of the three were ready, and they told me to come back in 25 minutes. I came back 30 minutes later and was told it still was not ready to give them another 10 minutes, I came back 20 minutes later and was told that they don't have the medicine in stock and they could only give me 5 pills instead of the 60 that was prescribed. I was instructed to come back next week and pick up the balance. I received a call about a week later telling me that they had them in and they were ready, and I told the woman on the phone I would be there Thursday or Friday of the following week.I returned on Friday of the following week and they told me the medicine was put back on the shelf and I would have to come back later oh, they couldn't do it now because there were people ahead of me. There was no apologies and there was nothing...
Read moreI believe it's possible to reconcile the good and bad reviews. There is a clear corporate level problem. Reviewers are correct that service is often shockingly bad. This leads to a great deal of frustration and anger on the part of the public. Some employees have been brusque and rude, but it's clear they are overwhelmed and poorly supported. In my experience there have been many individual pharmacy employees who have helped wade through the morass to resolve problems, no doubt a daily task. A phone call can be a half hour wait and then disconnected. But over time I've developed an appreciation for the challenges these employees face. Staff turnover is unsurprisingly high. Management above the individual store level is failing the public and its workers. They take over other businesses and then put everyone through the wringer in the aftermath. Pretty typical corporate management conduct in this country today, and the...
