While vacationing in 30A, we hired Kenji Hibachi Catering for an in-home hibachi experience as a birthday surprise for my father-in-law, and I think we all agreed that it was easily one of the best parts of our trip and one of the best dining experiences we have had while in 30A. Worth every penny, the experience was amazing from start to finish.

The chef arrived fully equipped, setting up everything from the grill to a full dining setup, making it feel like a personal Japanese steakhouse. The meal was fun, interactive, and absolutely delicious. Like you would get at a dine in Japanese steakhouse, you start with a salad and the meal comes with fried rice and a variety of vegetables. Prior to the dinner itself, you submit your entrée orders ahead of time and they have a number of proteins and protein combos to choose from. Many of us chose the filet and shrimp or chicken, and everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

But one of the highlights of the dinner was his sake filled water gun. He fills that thing up and goes around from person to person shooting sake into your mouth until you can’t take anymore or tap out. And he makes his rounds more than once 😜.

Kenji Hibachi made our vacation one to remember! Chef Adam came right to our rental and put on the most amazing show for our big family group — from the little kids to the teens and all the adults, everyone had a blast. The food was absolutely delicious, and the entertainment was nonstop fun. You can tell Chef Adam has years of experience and now runs this awesome family-owned business.
