Arrived around 1230 on a Sunday and almost every table was full. Service as a bit slow but understandably so, and I was made aware that the buns I ordered would take a bit longer to prepare as well.
The handmade dumplings were really good, as well as the house soy sauce and chili oil to accompany them. The bento box was a very generous portion of food for the price! The fried rice was really good with and is definitely a welcomed change from a lot of the other options around.
Everything I had was good, and there's plenty more on the menu that looks like it would be worth trying. With an hour drive personally, I won't rush back or anything.. but I think it's a very solid choice if you are in the area.
On another note, the parking lot a was chaotic free for all with people just parking wherever they felt like parking. I can see that being a nightmare when the other businesses in the plaza are open so...
Read moreI cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy the atmosphere at 331 Noodles. The owner is truly wonderful, creating an environment that feels welcoming and almost familial. In fact, every visit makes me feel like part of their family. As a family-owned and operated restaurant, 331 Noodles consistently delivers delightful meals. Although I usually indulge in the extra-extra spicy Kung Pao chicken, I make it a point to visit at least once a week to soak in the warmth and hospitality. This establishment truly stands out for its great food and even greater people. I have a deep appreciation for Chinese tradition, and watching the cooking videos in the background while I eat always inspires me. It's a delightful experience, even though I often find myself heading back for more food instead of trying out...
Read moreJia-Jangmyeon is something I haven't seen on a menu since I was a kid growing up in NYC. We used to call it noodles with brown meat sauce. I drove 45 minutes from Ft Walton Beach just to try it at 331 Noodles and it was spot on perfect like I remembered. 5 stars just for having it! The pan fried dumplings were the same, perfectly authentic. I disagree with the Ma Po Bean curd I had though. They make it with soft tofu as it should be, but the flavor was more of a seafood stew and not that of the fermented bean paste that I feel it should be. Too much fish sauce and not enough or even none of the brown bean paste is what I think, just my opinion. I will definitely be back to try the lettuce wraps and cold sesame noodles. 5 stars all around, great place that I'm generally happier now...
