This is the mechanic shop you'd like in your home town. We evacuated from North Port, FL the day before Hurricane Ian dropped 19" of rain and were heading West in a rented 26' moving van towing a car carrier to Bayfield, CO. We noticed the right front tire was low on air at a rest area on I-40 in eastern New Mexico. We limped into Santa Rosa to the TA Truck Stop hoping to fill the tire. The tire was holding 47 PSI, dangerously short of the recommended 105 PSI. The public air machine capped at 55 PSI. Big Rig Truck Service was open right next door to the TA. We pulled the truck into the lot and Chris and his team were gathered in one of the big garage bays. We tentatively asked if they'd let us top off the tire. After a little light joking about the 47 PSI, Chris graciously offered the bay and we pulled our truck and trailer in. His entire team looked the tire over, brought out the soapy water, and found a slow-leaking puncture. He talked us through the risk of inflating and driving any distance on the tire. Chris explained that his shop was an affiliate of our truck rental company and my only chore would be a phone call to the company with the truck's ID and they'd coordinate the tire change with Big Rig. We played our simple part and Chris estimated an hour for the repair, given that they were working other trucks. In the time it took for a quick lunch, Chris and his team were done. He explained that he upgraded the tire and that we'd see no trouble from that tire, and no charge for the work. They gave us incredible, personal service in a time when any service at all is hard to come by. We'd recommend them for any repair, confident that they'd do their best to get you back on the road. Big Rig was recommended to me by another driver/Carrier that was disgusted with the poor level of service offered by Dealerships and National Truck Stops. I excepted the recommendation and arrived at BigRig. A dirt dusty place but it was staffed with kind and knowledgeable "mechanics " and working owner.

I recalled i had stop by there over 15 years ago when I was a young man. Anyway the issue was to take out old starter and replace with new one I bought.

(Davis) i think was the mechanics name. He was a decent fellow and knowledgeable mechanics. His rate is didn't even question. It was very fare.

And he pulled me in immediately. I was in and out within 1.5 hours. I think it took that because I talk to much while he was working.

I loved the overall service and respect so much I came back on my return run and on a Sunday! Big Rig replaced trailer brake shoes. Again NO waiting staged me then pulled me in. 2 mechanics did the work .I checked my eld and my total down time was 42min. I forgot the 2 mechanics name but know this all Big Rig mechanics KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING , GET YOU IN , AND GET YOU GONE WITH A SMILE AND CONFIDENCE THAT THE WORK THEY DID WILL KEEP YOU ROLLING. Let me start by saying it's hard to find a good place for truck service. This...now this is a great place & 40+ years in business. After working all week they still came in to work on a Saturday, three mechanics and the owner hustling it up. You don't find that very often. So I had a tire blow out and needed an 11R 24.5 drive. None of the truck stops had my right size tire because all they want to do is cater to the big corporate money trucking company's. Well, these guy's had the tire size I needed to match it up to my truck. The owner answers the phone here and he's the one who took me out to match up the tire I needed...he's not afraid to work. The other 2 mechanics already started while the tire was being picked out & the owner got the perfect height just by looking at it! They had me done in 30 minutes! I talked and joked with everyone there. These are the kind of people you want to deal with, they are very personable. I felt welcomed, treated right and my equipment taken care of for a very good price. I highly recommend if you need service to come here first & I'll definitely be back.
