I cannot believe how terrible the manager treated my 69-year-old mother.
My mother, who's a regular customer (and probably one of the nicest people you would ever meet), got locked out of her car because something was wrong with her car's electrical system. She went into Pacific Market to borrow the phone because she couldn't get into her car to drive home and she had left her cellphone at home. My mother walked in, asked to borrow the phone. What does the manager do? He SLAMS DOWN A PHONE in front of her. She couldn't find a cab in the phone book, AAA insurance wouldn't respond, she couldn't remember her daughter (my) cellphone number. She was helpless.
One of the store attendants started to help my mother because there weren't any customers in the store. Does the manager help or say thank you to his employee....? No- the manager tells the attendant to "GET BACK TO (HER) POST!" and FORCED MY MOTHER TO GET OUT OF THE STORE. A 69-year-old lady without proper walking shoes, no phone, knees that are receiving surgery soon, and $200 worth of groceries. MY 69-YEAR OLD MOTHER WAS FORCED TO WALK HOME. The manager left her, literally, with no other option.
My mom's car is currently in their parking lot, she had to walk up the very hilly streets for about 1.5 miles to get home. Sun was down, she has no coat on, it's the 6th of December.
This manager has no consideration what so ever for someone who tries to support smaller stores. And he has absolutely no respect for his employees, who try and be of assistance and provide customer service.
We had just moved to the neighborhood and were talking about what a lovely shop Pacific market was and how handy it is to have it in the neighborhood and shop more locally. I will never go back to this market and you better know that we are going to let all our neighbors know.
It may be a cute neighborhood market, but this manager (or owner) is so disrespectful to anyone who steps foot in his store. I wouldn't support this local business. To the lovely person who tried to help my mother, thank you so much and I'm so sorry you have to deal with this boss on a daily basis. To the manger, you truly are a...
Read moreTwo weeks ago I went into Pacific Market in the Town & Country location. I purchased hot food that was a serve yourself style. I added several items. I took it back to work and ate my lunch. A 1/2 an hour later I was in the ER because my throat was closing up and I couldn't breathe. I was there for 4 hrs. before I could be released. I have a very low tolerance to pesticides. With that being said why was this substance in my hot food? A day later I contacted the market and spoke to Joe via email. Joe did not sound like he was concerned and wanted me to come in and see him. When I did go to visit with him he was available and he was busy. I told him I would like to talk to him about this and would like him to take care of my emergency room Bill since it was because of their food. He has stopped all communications with me. There's a lot of people at my work that has had some food poisoning from Pacific Market in Town and country I would be very aware of what you purchased there. Also there's other markets around that you can go to without spending a lot of money to get sick. I'm still expecting a call from Joe or from the owner of Pacific Market in...
Read moreThis store is an absolute joke. Yes, the food is decent, but once you find out the store has been infested with rats for years, not since the wildfires which an official statement can be quoted saying, you probably won’t want to eat here anymore. Not to mention also covered with mold and mildew. The cheekiest part about the whole thing was they never planned on actually taking care of the issue, instead they would just place rat traps at night and hoped for the best whilst hiding this to the best of their ability until they were caught by a health inspection and promptly closed. As a past employee I can also confirm the entirety of the staff is miserable and petty towards one another. The management is horrible, minus John. John is the only saving grace of this store and is genuinely a great person. Everyone else here is better off moving on and never working as a...
