I spend allot of money with Atwoods and have been faithful over the years, shopping there instead of ACE. But I had a bad experience purchasing a chain saw and will never go back again. I asked the kid for the Stihl MS 261 20". He went straight to the "garage" and commenced to pulling a MS 261 with an 18" bar. The problem being is that there is an 18 and 20 in this model. He couldn't find a 20 in the "garage" so I directed them out to the 20 on the shelf. The other guy with the key, helped us remove the saw from the security cable, the kid entered the 20" in the computer and I filled out the registration, ON THE 20. The kid left to go to the garage with the 20" to do the courtesy start process, telling me I don't have to follow him into the "garage" this time, that he's got it under control and the saw will be at the counter. This was my big mistake, trusting the kid to bring the right saw out of the "garage". It's my fault for letting the transaction get out of my control and into the stores control. I should have checked it at the counter but it was hard to tell with the orange bar guard. I wanted the 20 and walked out with the damned 18 after all. I went back in to swap the 18 for the 20. The manager told me I am stuck with this saw because it was registered to me and wouldn't give me the 20 THAT I ACTUALLY REGISTERED IN MY NAME. He smart assedly told me he would sell me the other saw, but I am stuck with the saw they handed me at checkout, the 18. I love the place, but won't ever be back. They are in over their heads, especially trying to represent real products like Stihl, etc... Not a good candidate for a product...
Read moreHi! Since most peaople post reveiws to bash places I figured I'd go ahead and do the opposite. I just want to say that I've shopped at this store since I was a little kid. Me and my parents would always go every Sunday and enjoy looking at the chicks, rabbit, while munching on the free popcorn. I always love this place and looked forward to going here every week. I've grown since then and started looking for my first job around this time last year, place after place wouldn't even consider me but as soon as I filled out my application here I got and interview. Long story short I got the job and have been working here for a little over a year. I still love this place. It might not be the newest store in town, but the people I work with are truly out of this world. They put up with so much (usually in the form of upset customers) day in and day out, but still put their best foot forward to provide the best customer service possible. These kind, compassionate people have made me feel a part if the Atwoods family from day one, and I am grateful. So if you've read this far, by all means, help support these jewels of people and shop...
Read more10/5/2019 - I tried to return a pair of faulty jeans that I had bought earlier this month and was told that the store manager was too busy working on another sales matter. So I waited about fifteen minutes then I decided to find her myself. Wasnât hard, she was lending on the back counter shooting the breeze with another woman who also worked there. First let me say her annoyance was visible as soon as she acknowledged me and before I even finished explaining to her that I didnât want a refund but just to exchange the jeans for a pair that wasnât faulty. She said âcorporateâ was coming down hard on them about returns. And that was basically it. She didnât have time for customers, not while she was so busy leaning against the counter. I have shopped this store for years, purchasing large ticket items and monthly supplies here. I wonât be going back there. If she doesnât have time for her customers then her customers donât have time to shop there. And I feel the need to let her âcorporateâ know that she uses them as her...
