I never write reviews, but I do feel if anyone does read these then you should be aware. I went to The Hex House last night 10/24/21 with my daughter, and husband. We opted to purchase general admission tickets, and not the Speed Pass, when I asked the young girl with curly pigtails working the gate entrance how long has the wait been her response was 20 minutes, and that the line was moving pretty steady. I asked the same question to the lady in the ticket booth, she said 40 minutes. While during our wait in the general admission line I begin to see several people getting out of line to leave, when more and more people started doing this I stopped a family and asked what was going on, and was responded with that her family had been waiting an hour with no movement, that the organization was letting very few general admission ticket peeps in all while the line for the speed pass tickets were getting in by large groups. I understand the perks of a speed pass, I get it, and initially I did not want to spend that extra $15 pp, last night the MASS majority of ticket holders were in the general admission line so it didn't make sense to spend the extra $$ to go through the speed line when there was not a line of people waiting. Despite it all, I purchased the speed pass, but while I was in line to buy the speed pass tickets I heard a worker with the Hex House tell the young girl with those pigtails that was working the gate entrance to tell people coming in to purchase the speed pass, that the organization had been intentionally holding up the general admission line to attract more people to buy the speed pass that they would get in quicker. There were also those workers in full costume walking through the lines quietly suggesting to the general admission ticket holders how quicker they would get through if they just purchased a speed pass, that no one was in that line waiting. I don't appreciate how blatantly this organization schemed to get already general admission ticket holders to get out of line to purchase the speed pass when there were very few people in that specific lane, my opinion it was BS, my whole attitude changed from being excited to come to this haunted house to now being mad how they were luring people to spend extra money. Lastly, while walking through the haunted house I was very disappointed because they were pushing extra large groups of people at the same time therefore if you are at the back of the group you will not be phased at all because the actors don't have enough time to reposition, you lose the whole concept of being frightened...this was not worthy of $126 for my family of 3. Use your...

I wish all of the haunts were as good as the last segment as it was really good! You will be touched which is what makes it even more scarry when you cannot see where the hands are comming from. I would recommend taking your time to go through each room and look at all the special effects in each room. We got stuck with a group of people who moved really fast so I could not really enjoy each room fully and stay with the group. So I would recommend going with a bunch of friends so that you do not get stuck with other people who might not go at the pace you want. I think they try to keep it as groups of 4 or 5.
Also it seems like (from my experience) the 2nd and last person in line is the target of the actors. So if you do not want to get startled then be somewhere in the middle after the second person but do not be the last person. As the actors will come back up the rear and try to "get" the group again. However if you want to be scared and the attention of the actors then be the second person in line of the group. As the first person coming into the room lets the actors know the next group is here and so by the time they are ready to do their thing the second person is the one who gets the direct scare. Being the first person is very suspenseful too as you are the leader and do not know what to expect when you turn the corner. But the actors seemed to jump at the second person in line.
I highly recommend it but I only have 4 stars because the first one is very very poor...
Read moreIt’s crazy to think that I used to live in Tulsa for 15 years and never once tried Hex House. It used to be by Incredible Pizza but has now changed the location to west Tulsa. We purchased our tickets online to avoid waiting at the ticket office and arrived a little before 7pm. We got the whole VIP experience for $56 per person. The wait to get your temperature check was the longest line, other than that, it wasn’t too bad. We were able to get into the house within 10 minutes of arriving.
I’ve seen some reviews stating that the scare actors seem unenthused later at night so my suggestion is to get in first at the start at 7pm so get everything fresh! I didn’t notice any signs of fatigue in the actors and they were VERY lively.
Production: 5/5, it was amazing! I actually felt like I was in the themed houses! I also loved that you went through all the 3 hauntings at once instead of going to a different area. Scene change was awesome. Scares: 3/5, definitely was not scared at all but they had some good jump scares for other members of our group. “VR” experience: 1/5, we received a cardboard VR box to put our phones in to experience and that was probably the most disappointing part. Had it been a true virtual experience as a group, I would’ve enjoyed and not paid an extra $10-$20 for a cardboard VR box.
Overall, it was a great experience. If you don’t like waiting in line, get an express pass. If you don’t like tired actors, go early when they open. I enjoyed it and wouldn’t mind going back next year, without the “VR” experience. Another pro is that they don’t have groups of 10-20 people going at once, we had 7 people and we got to go with just our group....
