I'm posting for my mom, Sharon Dunn since she doesn't really do the whole social media thing.
We bought a couch from the American Signature in UTC, Florida around 2022 and made sure to get the warranty with it. Within the first year, the wood for the armrest on one of the armpieces broke leaving the whole piece sagging. After numerous calls to the warranty company they finally decided that because it was inside the first year it was under the manufacturer warranty and not them. Long story short after about 6 months of back and forth with them, where they claimed everything from, "The extended warranty should cover it," to the even more laughable, "your servicing warehouse closed, so we don't know who should replace it for you," we finally got a new piece. Unfortunately, by the time they replaced that piece, one of our recliners had broken and would sag terribly when fully reclined and not close all the way. Another several months of phone calls to the store and warranty company and they replaced the mechanism on the broken piece. This repair lasted all of a week before it was in even worse shape than before. Now not only did it sag and not close all the way, but their were screws litterally falling out of it when you tried to recline it. At this point we demanded a new piece. Turns out they had stopped making this particular sectional and couldn't replace the piece and offered us $300 to "fully satisfy this and any future claims." For a couch that cost well over 1K, that was not going to fly. We turned it down and heard no additional offers for two months, when they finally offered 3k in store credit to replace the whole couch. We get to the store and find out they have nerfed their offer to 2k. At this point we just accept it as par for the course and pick a new couch. A week later it is delivered and assembled. A week after that we discover that the zipper on the seat cushion for the chase lounger is broken. It's well within the manufacturer warranty period and we got the extended warranty on the new couch. The tech comes out and says it's impossible to replace the zipper and we need a new piece. We agree and are told someone will reach out. When they finally reached out weeks later they tell us they won't replace it because they are going to fix it by sewing it shut... I don't know who is running this place, but sewing something shut does not qualify as fixing something that is intended to open and close and is certainly not the quality of repair I would expect from a manufacturer warranty. At this point we're just done with the shenanigans. We want a full refund so we can get our future couch from a more...
Read moreI have shopped here 2x in the past 10 years. Both being almost an entire house worth of items. This time Susan took care of us! The experience was just like it was years ago! Top notch!
So many people are used to being approached and hate being sold by a salesperson. When you enter in the doors here, you may âfeelâ this way when approached, but remember, this is NOT a sleezy salesperson experience.
The consultants that work here âespecially the ladiesâ (no offense!) are the best of the best! Susan specifically 100% nails her job.
The shopping process here is much easier for everyone if when you are immediately approached, you say exactly what you are looking for. Letâs face it nobody comes in a furniture store to just sit on couches for fun. Explain to the consultant exactly what you need. They know the store inside and out, they also know the sales, the deals, and the best offers on items you might be looking for.
1month ago, Susan approached us as soon as we walked in. We said we were just shopping at the moment but gave her a list of things we needed: A dining room set, a bedroom set, a new mattress for sure and we possibly needed a few other items.
Susan immediately showed us to the area we needed to head and then she let us shop. We made notes of what we wanted, and she made notes as we moved to the next items on the list. We did this until we were done! We took a print out with us and left after giving Susan our contact info.
Within a week she reached out and asked if we had any questions. Today we reached out and asked if she was in and wanted to meet with her. We came in and made the purchase for all the items on our list that we needed. We needed to make a few adjustments to chairs for our dining set, but Susan made that easy!
For 10 years now and 2 houses we have relied on the consultants here to quickly help us make what is normally a miserable process actually easy.
This store doesnât have everything and might not be a one stop shop, however, if you need something, stop in and tell them what you are looking for.
They will help you see their options, give you a good price, and see if itâs something that might fit your needs just like a professional consultant would.
Furniture quality here varies based on your budget, you can tell the difference between the expensive and more affordable options. I have been 100% satisfied with everything we have bought from here over the years.
Pricing is great for the quality that you get.
Service is top notch! Thank you Susan for being...
Read moreWorst experience ever!! I wouldn't go back. Please don't waste your money and time here don't go to this store. I was there on Saturday and made a purchase which it was suppose to be delivery by Wednesday between 7:30 and 9:30a.m. On Tuesday I got a called confirming my order for Wednesday and they let me know an entertainment table I got was going to be delivery on Thursday which I agreed I didn't see any problem with it. Here is where the nightmare started. Wednesday morning arrived I called out from work so I can wait for the delivery. Surprise it never arrived, I contacted the customer service and they told me my delivery was in his way, they put me on hold, then they came back and said my delivery was delivered and sign by a person name Paris, I was put on hold and then they told me my delivery was re scheduled for Thursday with any notification. Thursday arrived the delivery guy was at my house at 10 am mess up my stairs that was recently redone because they were in a rush, but to my surprise the entertainment table was missing, the delivery guy said I got to go sign the table might be in another truck coming to you. I called again to the call center which they are no help. They marked the table was delivered to me,but the table is on back order till next week. When I said I want to cancel my order and I want my money back they said I have to wait for them to cut me a check? A check? I didn't paid with a check. They said they will come and pick up the items they were gonna call me to set up a pick up time, didn't happen no one called me but the driver when he was 10 mins away from my house. I said I wasn't home I was out buying furniture from a serious business and he said they never told him he was supposed to call, a few minutes later I get a call from the "manager" saying he was expecting me to be home all day since I took the day off from work, so he didn't see the necessity of calling first. Seriously? These people in the call center are a joke. I will never EVER will do...
