As a local foodie and realtor, I can't help but gush about my recent dining experience at Oak and Stone in the Sarasota University Town Center (UTC) Mall area. This place is not just a restaurant; it's a masterpiece that blends of pizza and elevated bar food with a prime location that's nothing short of a real estate dream.
Let's start with the food – Oak and Stone knows how to craft a menu that caters to every palate. Their wood-fired pizzas are a revelation; the thin, crispy crust is the perfect canvas for an array of innovative toppings. Whether you're a traditionalist who loves a classic margherita or an adventurous foodie craving smoked brisket and blue cheese, you'll find your pizza heaven here.
But Oak and Stone is not just about pizza; their craft beer selection is a testament to Sarasota's burgeoning craft beer scene. With an extensive tap list featuring local and national brews, this place is a haven for beer enthusiasts. Pair that with their beer flights, and you've got yourself a delightful tasting experience.
Now, let's talk real estate. The UTC Mall area has been rapidly growing, and Oak and Stone's location is a prime example of the area's potential. Whether you're a buyer, seller, or investor, being close to this thriving spot could be a game-changer. It's not just about the mall; it's about the entire community and lifestyle that's developing around it.
The ambiance at Oak and Stone strikes a balance between cozy and chic, making it perfect for a date night, a casual lunch, or a celebration with friends. The outdoor patio is a gem; it overlooks the mall and provides an excellent spot for people-watching while enjoying your meal.
In summary, Oak and Stone in the Sarasota UTC Mall area is a culinary delight that perfectly complements the real estate potential of the location. Whether you're a local foodie like me or someone looking to invest in this thriving area, this restaurant is a must-visit. Decent food, a fantastic beer selection, and a prime location – what more could...
Read moreMy sister and her family was down from Boston, Massachusetts. Being huge New England Patriots fans, and then playing at 9:30 AM in London. We need to find a place to watch the game. Before I went, I called and got the manager Kendrick on the telephone and explained a dilemma and understood that he didn’t open up till 10 AM, I asked him if you could kindly boost the TV up on the patio and put the game on and we would at least set until they open at 10 and take a table inside. Accommodated and included cold waters. Probably at 10 AM we were seated as a party of 12 in Server Jett’s section, a young man. We ordered a bunch of appetizers, which came out promptly (Wings, steak and cheese eggrolls A mac & cheese for the kids 2). The drinks were brought promptly And the food was on point and delicious. We then ordered brunch which again was delicious and brought promptly the service from Jett as outstanding n we Reflected the same in his tip I had my two young granddaughters there five and seven and I ordered them banana pudding, jet brought it out and two individual dishes. I was overwhelmed with kindness. Of course had the cheesecake and she had with my elderly father. A good time was had by all-we had the game on a tv at every head turn.I would highly recommend this place again, especially if you have a large party didn’t get to try the beer wall, but it’s on my to do list. Place was clean! I had an awesome time with my out of state sister n her family! I am fussy with food n I tried it all on the table but hot wings n I have nothing bad say. And the service by Jett we wanted for nothing n he was busy. Kendrick sure started our morning off with putting game on before...
Read moreI recently had my first experience eating at this fantastic establishment and it did not disappoint.
Oak & Stone is not your typical pizzeria. It's a much more modern take by combining a sports bar and a pizzeria to form a rather unique dining experience.
There is seating inside and out with televisions that all can see from every possible angle. There is even cornhole setup outside for those that want to play.
The most unique item of Oak & Stone is their serve yourself beer wall. It is quite amazing to look at (check it out on their website).
I went with my family for Happy Hour. Getting seated was a little on the slow side because their was only one server on staff at the time. Once we were seated everything progressed quickly.
Happy Hour has a $7, $8, & $9 menu. We ordered from all three by ordering the pickle fries, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and the cheesesteak egg rolls.
Everything looked great and tasted great (check out my photos).
I will say that the most disappointing part of the whole meal was the cost of the fountain drinks. A Coke and a sweet tea cost $4.25 while a bottle of Coors was $3.75.
I understand that fountain drinks are "unlimited" but a fountain drink should never exceed the price of an alcoholic beverage (discourages potential designated drivers from not drinking something cheaper).
All-in-all I will go back because the food is fantastic. But next time I may just get a water...
