I worked with Garth Francis throughout the process of picking out an engagement ring. This process spanned what seemed like a few weeks time. He gave me his cell number to contact him with any questions I had and I did take him up on that. He researched loose diamonds that other IDC locations had for a diamond that fit what I was looking for. This was to expand the amount of diamonds I could choose from and compare to one another. He was able to bring those in to look at in person. He was very patient explaining everything from return policy's, to the lifetime value upgrade. We took a look at select stones under a loop and had the GIA report in hand to look at inclusions. He even showed me the inscription of the GIA number on the girdle of the diamond that matches with the report on the diamond when I picked it up. He made the process of buying smooth. That is a testament to not only him but to IDC as well. IDC doesn't operate on commissions like most other places, this allowed for a more relaxed environment with no pushiness. We were able to find a gorgeous diamond that fit the bill. They were able to get it sized and ready to pick up within a day of them receiving payment confirmation. We ended up having to go back to get it resized as the initial size was a guess and they were able to get it done within a few days time as well. This was done for free as resizing is free along with other things like getting Rhodium coating refinished. A few days beats waiting weeks sending it in the mail and worrying if it gets lost or stolen. This is what you would have to do to get a resizing using online vendors. I am very happy with how things went with International Diamond Center and I would certainly recommend it and Garth to anyone. A+ experience, couldn't be happier. The ability to view a diamond in person is huge as even diamonds with the same grading have different characteristics that are hard to gauge without seeing it yourself. You wont regret...

My wife and I were beyond happy to hear that IDC was opening in Sarasota. Our 1st anniversary is right around the corner and I knew I wanted to take her to IDC. Ever since buying her engagement ring and wedding band at the Clearwater location, she refuses to shop anywhere else.

We walked in and were greeted by Bruce. He was friendly, professional and eager to help us. I knew I wanted to get my wife an opal necklace, it’s her birthstone. Bruce was very upfront about having limited options in store but informed us that they have plenty of options that can be ordered.

Anyone who had shopped at IDC knows that every employee there isn’t pushy. They aren’t aggressive. They let you know they are there to help and will leave you be, if you wish. Bruce offered us a beverage and took us to where the two necklaces were. My wife fell in love with an opal translucent stationary heart shaped necklace. Bruce took it out of the case and brought her a mirror. He also brought over the ipad to show her the other options available for ordering. None caught her eye like the heart. So we told Bruce we would take the necklace. He had it polished and cleaned along with her current necklace, wedding band and earrings.

My fiancé’s proposal was amazing and the engagement ring he chose is gorgeous… IDC however made the happiest moment of our lives so far a very stressful one. They sized me incorrectly and had to resize my ring twice. We spent so much time going back and forth to the store (resizing, jeweler wasn’t there after we made an appointment, etc.). We were then told by the jeweler that they couldn’t take the ring down to a 5 (a very average ring size) or there may be a risk of the stones on the band falling out… this was certainly not a warning my fiancé was given at the time of purchasing the ring and caused so much anxiety. I spent so much time newly engaged without my ring because it was at the shop and then not wearing it because of the fear it would fall off. I went to mall jewelers after the fact to confirm my size and they had no problem correctly sizing me the first time with professionalism and confidence. The fact that mall jewelers made me feel more comfortable than the experience at IDC really felt like the final confirmation that what we experienced never should have happened to any couple.
