Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Restaurant in Sarasota

I wanted to like this place so bad. The drinks are good but the service is terrible. We gave it 3 tries before reviewing, the first time, the barista didn’t know the ingredients in the drinks we ordered and told us they didn’t have the stuff to make it, I had to correct her and tell her none of the ingredients you listed that you ran out of were in that drink. They then made the drinks frozen instead of iced like we ordered. The second time we went, they took our order, and after waiting, they came back and said they didn’t have the stuff to make it. We accepted coupons to come back. The following day we came back, later in the day, the store was empty. The two employees were chatting and I was ignored for a good minute before the girl took my order. She then continued to gossip with her coworker instead of actually making the drinks. Then proceeds to pull out her phone and text for another few minutes right in front of me before making our drinks. When she finally started, she stopped halfway through to once again, gossip with her coworker, who had to eventually tell her to just finish making the drinks. It must’ve taken 10 minutes to get our two drinks, and we were the only people in there. It’s so unfortunate because the drinks did taste good, but the customer service is just really bad and enough to make us not go back when there are plenty of other coffee shops...

I’m officially obsessed with BadAss Coffee—this is my second time here, and it’s safe to say I’ve found my new coffee haven! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the kind of warmth that makes you think, “Okay, these people actually want me here!” The staff is incredibly friendly, and the owner? Well, let’s just say they’ve mastered the art of making you feel like family. When my order was a little off, the owner didn’t just fix it—they swooped in like a coffee superhero and made it right on the spot. No questions, no hesitation, just perfect service.

And let’s talk about the coffee—chef's kiss. I’ve had the Three Waves and Beach Bliss, and honestly, each sip is like a mini vacation for your taste buds. If coffee could have a personality, these two would be the life of the party, smooth, bold, and just the right amount of kick.

I had such a great experience at Bad Ass Coffee! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming — you can really tell they love what they do and care about the people who walk through their doors.
