My daughter is enrolled there through dual enrollment from her high school, and the college nor her high school know how to communicate with the family or the student in sufficient and efficient time frames before things begin for the students. My only suggestion for other parents who have dual enrolled students at LSSU is to contact LSSU yourself if you have not heard anything and you know registration has begun. This could save you the frustration we are having getting things straight. The whole thing could have been avoided with communication from the time of registration began until now, but there was NONE! At this point, due to miscommunications and some communication mess ups, I’m still not sure if our problem has been corrected? I really wish I would have been on top of things when it came to this, but I had it in my mind the high school and LSSU knew what they were doing and would do what is best for the high school student who drives 45...
Read moreDefinitely wouldn't recommend this place. Unprofessional and ineffective professors seem to be the norm. But, those unprofessional professors will scold you for being unprofessional yourself, because apparently trying to have any amount of fun in college (or just generally acting like a normal human being) is unprofessional. Showing up 5-10 minutes late to every class they teach, complaining about how they don't have enough time to get through the lecture material, running class 15 minutes over the limit, setting up improper schedules then getting mad at students who have a scheduling conflict in reality but not in the registrar's system, and (on occasion) wearing seemingly the same clothes for a week straight, however, are all some of the wonderful and totally professional...
Read moreDisappointed in what I was given at this school. The education was sub-par due to low funding and poor professionalism from faculty. With the president embezzling more than $100k from the school/students, faculty grooming the young women in programs, and the constant dissatisfaction from the higher ups within the school regarding student affairs and general way of life for students is disheartening. The few handful of professors who make this school worth while is sadly not enough for me to recommend this school to anyone. After working for the school in just about every department during my time here, there is so much corruption to be found behind every corner. This school has a lot of work to be done, both structurally...
