Weir Package and Freight — Local services in Sault Ste. Marie

18 months to finally get a a tracking number for the items we had shipped. We received a lot of misinformation and excuses as to where our package is. At one point the package arrived back at the store. Then the package sat at the store for 10 months!!! We had called several times and even had my mother in-law go down to talk to the manager about it. She was told the package was on it's way, this was 4 months ago. On todays call to the manager, he stated that they were finally sent out two days ago. Would have been nice to know. He could have called, text, or email us with the tracking number, but of coarse didn't. UPDATE: The manager sent our package through fed-ex. We still have not received it. However, the price increased tremendously! by $200!! DO NOT go here for you shipping needs! There are other places to go around the area. I feel if you are not from here, then he doesn't give a hoot about you...

I've been shipping here since 2011 and management of this business has gone to the dogs. After failing to follow up with multiple queries by phone over a several month period regarding our package, we had to make a trip over and speak to a staff member in person; we were told to come back because their forklift was broken. They then held our package hostage at a high fee "stating this policy is on our website". Well as of writing this review their website returns a 404 error.

Your employees had my contact information and no one followed up or warned us about these arbitrary 'fees'. Write a disclaimer in your 'inbounded emails' and communicate with your customers actively rather than pulling non-sense out of your bottom.

Have been using weirs for years for USA shipping to cut costs of having it shipped over to Canada. Always had a pretty good experience. Flat fee to hold packages and accommodating to make special arrangements for pick up if necessary.

Although I have moved I continue to utilize them for family members or when I visit.

Update: Remains consistent and has been a life saver with the Canada post...
