Pat's Foods IGA — Local services in Sault Ste. Marie

Terrible place. Stay away from the deli! You have a 50\50 chance of getting sick. I recommend boycotting this company. They sell expired food products at a huge mark up, especially produce. The store reeks of mildew as well. I will not buy or eat any meat that comes from this store. I cannot tell you how many times I've gotten sick from the food they sell here. Food poisoning, food poisoning food poisoning. They used to have a great deli, I loved the old pot pies. The pot pies are not pot pies, it's leftover chicken they let sit out all day with a terrible top pie crust only, no bottom crust or sides anymore. They cannot keep employees in the store and the ones they have now are clearly drug addicts. One in particular is always smoking weed in the parking lot. So if you're reading this and you or someone you know works for the health dept. Please investigate randomly before an innocent child or elderly person dies from food poisoning. I've secretly marked some of the baked goods, they just change the exp date and keep it out, for over a month this went on. The things they do cannot be legal lol......

Updating my review because of the excellent service I received my last trip in.

It was quite clean and bright inside and it seemed to have a better atmosphere then last time I was in. I found everything okay and everyone seemed nice.

I stopped to get some plants (because you can't have enough plants) and was pleasantly surprised at how good they all looked and the nice variety they had to offer. I spoke with Jessica and she was wonderful to chat with.

When I was checking out Jessica made sure that my plants were well taken care of for their trip to the truck. She boxed them, covered them, and made sure they were safe to go. She was awesome! I will definately be stopping back by once in a while to see what's going on with the plants since I know she is taking excellent care of them.

Terrible experience at Pat's food:

Entering to a store at 9:55pm (Sunday 1st May) and got done with groceries quickly, was at the checkout 10:03-No one anywhere. Trying to find someone, The whole store empty, doors locked from inside, no replying after multiple shoutings, tried to use grocery's own phone to reach out to someone.. no answers

Couldn't get my groceries and walked out with empty hands after almost breaking the doors - couldn't lock them obviosly from outside..

Very poor performace by Pat's food stuff - look up your cameras if you don't bother having a round around the store when there is still someone.
