A Cut Above the Rest — Local services in Sault Ste. Marie

Went there to get a color correction, which I appreciated they fit me in so quickly. Just a few things that from the personal experience there I probably wouldn’t go back. ( some spots at the bottom of my hair and couple other places are dark brown , weird ratio on sides when parting my hair to its actual parting , she cut something on my left side of hair but not to other parts of hair so confused on that... most of the time I was confused on what she was doing to my hair. As much as I appreciated the time took out of their day, the cleanliness, and the patience and while yes I understand my hair reaches a certain bleaching limit i left with a brownish blonde on my left side and into a gray ish ashy color on my right which is much lighter( kinda wish they just did the same thing to my right side that they did to the left ( the way the brown does down)). I am happy that if anything I can dye over it but I am not happy that I spent $200 on hair that still looks split. ( I did still give a $75 dollar tip bc of the staying over and fitting me in quick ) Additional bleach charges were there as well Because of my length of hair it took more. ( included 3 photos in the photo slot)

P.s ignore the unevenness at the bottom that was my own doing during quarantine...

They take their name seriously! Beware of cuts! My husband came in for a haircut, and the hair dresser ended up cutting/slicing across his neck with her clippers. As soon as the clippers touched him initially, he winced and said there was something really sharp digging into his neck. The hair dresser looked at the clippers and shrugged, then continued to make her way across until he leaned forward and said it was too painful to continue. She then told him she had dropped the clippers earlier and they may be broken. At the end of the haircut, his neck was bright red and speckled with blood. She apologized for cutting him so badly once he saw the damage in the mirror. We were still charged full price. This morning, his neck is scabbed and red. There seemed to be a competent hair dresser working a few chairs over, but we still won't be returning to the salon simply because of the way they handled...
