This is the smallest of three thrift stores in the vicinity, the other two are in Burnsville, which is right next to Savage. It's worth stopping at this store if you live here or are in the area, but I wouldn't advise a special trip. Someone will greet you in the drop off area to assist, but you can expect to get out of your car to move things into specific bins as directed. One of the first things you'll notice when shopping is that their carts could use a good hosing down. There used to be changing rooms, but those were removed during the pandemic. There are a couple of mirrors on a wall so you could try something on over your clothing. The return policy is actually an exchange policy, which is only good when you bring the item in and exchange for something during that same trip, and there is a limited time to do so. Because of the location, you can find some nice hand-me-downs in the clothing and shoe departments. Surprisingly, they seem to get more new or almost new shoes than a person would expect to find. There's never much in the sporting goods department. There are a lot of books but they're not well sorted, so you would rarely see anyone browsing. Clothing is clean and sorted by sizes and by type, such as long vs. short sleeve, sweaters, jackets, etc. You may find a project or two in the furniture department, which is generally decently priced. You may also find a treasure in the home decor sections, such as a lamp. Prices are best on days of the week when they offer discounts, otherwise prices are on the higher side for used goods. You could sign up for texts and get special discounts...

No one waiting behind me so counted out change (.49) on the counter-but-cashier kept grabbing it so I'd lose count. Asked her to leave it on the counter so I could quickly count it.She seemed unable to control herself as she kept grabbing the money, wouldn't allow me to count it, then yelled at me because her "drawer was open too long", slammed it shut-waited on someone else. Her "temper tantrum" lost that store a good customer. I usually shop the Apple Valley store (over 15 years) and always -a good experience. This Savage store- was...
Read moreWOW! The first time I went into this little cute store I was in shock. It was so clean. The young girl with golden hair and bright clear eyes who was on the floor was very helpful. I think her name was Calli. She really engaged in a wonderful conversation with me about cats. AND helped me pick an outfit for my date later that night. She then helped me out by being my cashier and she is fast! fastest cashier I've ever had. To sum up my experience at this goodwill it was amazing and I'll rave about it to all my friends, and Calli was a nice young lady who seemed to just want a friend. I'll definitely be back and maybe me and her will...
