I stop by Sharon and Ken's Savage Dunn Bros weekly...they know my drink before I walk through the doors and I keep coming back for more. I love Dunn Bros coffee and the "coffee shop ambiance" is wonderful.
So here's what I'd add, from a "local" point of view...
The coffee here is the same as you'd expect at other Dunn Bros coffee shops - so if you like Dunn Bros coffee, you'll like it here too.
The shop itself is nice with comfortable leather seating in the back, by the gas fireplace and counter-top seating along the windows...and even some tabletops in the middle. It probably seats 20 fairly comfortably, although, it's not often THAT full.
They've added some additional food options lately, panini's, soup, etc. - although, admittedly, I haven't tried any -- I go for the coffee.
My daughter has tried the muffins and other baked goods on occasion and always enjoys them, but it would take a really dry doughnut to disappoint her!
Here's what I'd say in closing....
The coffee shop is what you'd expect...a nice, local coffee shop with great coffee. But the reason I took the time to write this is...the people. I've met everyone who works there - and they all smile and take great pride in their craft. They have good humor about them and work hard at one they do. Culturally speaking, they have a consistent message regardless of who is working and I love buying local.
Tell them you stopped by because "Rich recommended...
Read moreI rarely ever write negative reviews after only one visit, but I won't ever go back to this Dunn Bros. I like Dunn Bros in general. I stopped at this location after running an errand on my way to work. The barista taking orders gabbed with the two college girls in front of us for a little longer than necessary. Ok, whatever. We ordered (my boyfriend repeated his order twice--it was not a difficult one) and we waited. They were training a new barista. Ok, fine. The first two drinks were made incorrectly and had to be remade and my boyfriend's drink was wrong too. We were late so he sucked it up and after 15 minutes, we left. My drink was the only one they made right, again, another easy one, but both of our drinks tasted....not good. I see why Starbucks has become...
Read moreImmediately after walking in, I made eye contact with the owner. I gave him a welcoming smile and he just stared at me making me uncomfortable. At first I thought it was a one off but then as my spouse(black female) and I(black female) order and get settled at a table. He proceeds to come over and say that we cannot have food that was not purchased there because he “needs to make a living”. No signs posted say this and we have come in countless times with different meals. We are never disruptive and we always purchase beverages when we come. Most times more than one for each of us. What was different about today? It’s giving prejudice… We won’t ever be frequenting this establishment again. 0/10 do not recommend if you are looking to be welcomed like any other...
