I really want to like these apartments more, as I am currently living here. Bernessa and Florence are wonderful and so helpful, that is about where the good ends. I waited three weeks to move in, and was told that the apartment needed to be cleaned up from the prior tenants. The job done was abysmal. The paint job on the trim and wood is laughable, the patio was gross, the bathroom is so outdated and ugly, I would never want people over to see it. The team who ‘renovated’ it actually PAINTED the WiFi cable attachment on the wall, requiring me to pay xfinity come over and install a new unit, the property did not even offer to cover the cost of this, even though it was clearly the fault of the Reno company. The response time of the Reno team is absolutely ridiculous, I had a wasps nest, am allergic to bees, and asked for these to be dealt with. A week later nothing was done, so I had to yet again do something that I PAY this company to do.

The problem here is that the managers of the property, Florence and Bernessa are really kind, the team who is working for them or the upper management of the company could not give two craps. I would not apply to this property again unless the apartments...

Worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. On move-in day, my unit wasn’t even ready — the apartment hadn’t been cleaned, and the floors weren’t done. A lot of things were still incomplete, and even after moving in, the work remained unfinished. I had my truck fully loaded, ready to move in, only to be delayed due to the unit being unlivable.

While living there, the ceiling started collapsing in multiple areas, damaging some of my belongings. Management refused to cover the losses. They also painted over the tub instead of replacing it and did a sloppy job.

I have been living at Carriage House for approximately 5 yrs at this point. All in all, it is a good place to live. Convenient location on Southside within walking distance of most anything you need. I have experienced several ownership/management changes over the years and I feel like the current owners/management have been the best of them all. The grounds are kept clean and serviced. Maintenance requests went from taking 2 months to be seen to now taking 24 hrs, sometimes even being taken care of on the same day you put in a request. The maintenance crew is respectful of your living space, friendly, and professional. The manager and the rest of the office staff are courteous and professional, and all seem to care about making sure tenant’s needs are addressed in a timely manner.
