Five Points Beverage — Local services in Savannah

We are new to the area and had just gone to Kroger to grab ice cream for a nice night in when we decided that we would like to make some cocktails. We typed in "liquor store" and this place came up. First of all, we saw that the only review was 1 star and wondered what in the heck could be so wrong with a liquor store?! It was the closest one to us at the time, so we went anyway-- BIG MISTAKE. The store had very limited stock, was organized poorly, and there was only one employee working. We found what we needed, sort of, and went up to the register where I proceeded to ask if he had a smaller bottle of the schnapps i needed for my recipe. He proceeded to try to sell us a completely different bottle of schnapps, showing his total lack of knowledge. Then, when we went to pay, I took out my I.D., which is issued by another state. He turned it over several times looking for the "hologram," which he said he needed to prove that it was legitimate. My girlfriend also took out her I.D. to show him that Virginia licenses do, in fact, look quite different than Georgia licenses. He refused to believe this simple fact and proceeded to deny us service, tacking on a rude "you both look underage anyway" before giving us our license and other forms of identification we had provided him in an effort to prove our legitimacy. We left the store, went to Shiv Liquor down the street, and had no issue using our LEGITIMATE I.D.s there. Got home and our ice cream had melted. Don't waste your time going...

Whoa! What an honest and friendly owner Nike(spelling). Stopped by and talked for a bit, fantastic selection and knowledgeable on many aspects of the wild bourbon market. A true believer in taking care of the customer, if you do your part more doors open up to special releases. Support your local liquor store and many doors...
