This is my first time ever writing a review but I must due to the terrible experience I had at this establishment while visiting Savannah for a friends birthday. My friend chose this breakfast spot after seeing it had a good rating on google so I looked at a few pictures of the food options and agreed to go. Upon arriving we had to seek out the host/waitress on our own just to be seated. Our waitress was nice she seated us and took our drink orders right away and it all went downhill from there. I ordered coffee and iced tea, the coffee had a HORRIBLE sour taste to it I couldn’t drink it so I asked the waitress to take it away. I then took a sip of my tea which was ENTIRELY TOO SWEET! I kept it out of not wanting to be constantly complaining and I thought maybe the ice would eventually help once it melts. Next our food came (it came in a timely manner considering the crowd). My friend ordered an omelet but when it came to the table it looked more like a large loaf of bread. I had to ask him what the heck it was that smh. To add insult to injury the omelet hardly had any fillings. It was so overcooked he ate less than half of it (he also didn’t want to be rude complaining customer smh). The side of grits he ordered was disappointing small so he was still hungry after eating what he stomach of his meal. I ordered pancakes and scrambled eggs which were nothing to write home about. I was just so disappointed that the reviews on this place were so misleading. I’ll never understand how so many people seem to think this is a decent place to eat. I will NEVER come back. Hate that we wasted time and money here. That’s it.....

I been here before many times. Only reason I went back this time was to give them the benefit of the doubt and guess what I was wrong!!!! My wife watched my sandwich sit for 5 minutes with her grits while her steak finishes then once one of the kitchen staff took notice she slammed more grits on top of the cold grits on top of the steak. Our waitress didn't even check on us the the other lady from another section did. Meanwhile back at the ranch our waitress was too busy flirting with the guys behind us. Never the less the waitress from the other section got the tip. Normally this place is packed but on this day it was not so service should have been perfect but nope. Not to mention employees openly bickering at each other about who messed up the other couples order which resulted in them walking out on their whole meal. Nevertheless I write reviews and I will probably return in a month or so to see if corrections were made if not the they will get a final poor review and it will be posted on a serious food critic blog site. People work hard for there money and deserve high quality service. And as for my sandwich the egg was cooked right but cold the sausage was cooked unbalanced but since you can't mess up bacon but wait I love bacon not beef jerky on my bagel. Even tho they didn't get it perfect it was right so it earned a star. My grading is based on 1 star requires to post. 2 stars poor but something was right 3 stars good food poor service 4 stars good food good service and 5 stars for good food good service and great experience. If your wondering what was right...it was our drinks. My coke and...

Breakfast Place is one of those diners that’s been there forever, you walk in & they tell you to grab a table, have a table in the back for rolling utensils, & everyone seems to know each other. You just know it’s gonna be good. We chose it because it was close to our vet drop off, & now we have a great casual diner to add to our go-to’s list.

My husband had the western omelet (also heard someone else ask for it) & I had a slice of cinnamon French toast with a side of scrambled egg. Scrambled eggs are sorta my litmus test, since their quality can vary soooo much. These were the fluffiest real eggs I’ve ever had. I told our waiter & he asked for me, not surprised - it’s all skill. The French toast was really good, just a good old made at home one. And of course my husband loved his omelet, everything was fresh, & the grits were fresh & hot too! Coffee was typical diner coffee, and came in a stainless steel mug so it stayed hot.

Our waiter was a really sweet guy, can’t remember what his name was, but he checked in on us the right amount & was really personable.

All in all, great...

The Breakfast Place is like a worse Waffle House. It smelled good when we first walked in, but the area our table was in smelled gross. Here’s what we got: - Coffee ($1.95): Good. - 2 Eggs with Meat (bacon), sub hashbrowns ($5.75 + 95¢): Bacon and eggs were fine. Hashbrowns were from a package. - One Buttermilk Pancake ($1.75): Fine. A little battery in the middle. - Egg and Cheese Biscuit ($3): The bottom half of the biscuit was very hard and almost impossible to bite into. Egg and cheese were fine. Service was good and quick! We were in and out in less than 25 minutes. In Covid times, staff were wearing masks, albeit one employee had hers below her nose. They don’t require masks. There were syrup bottles on the table, which is gross even before coronavirus, but especially gross now. It was cheap, but the food was less than average. We wouldn’t go back.

My wife and I stopped here in our way out of town and it was amazing. I'm a huge breakfast person and loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was great and the staff was nice and it reminds of the breakfast places I went too growing up as a kid. The food was everything that I want breakfast to be. I got the Triple crown omelet with grits and honestly these were some of the best grits I've had at a restaurant. My wife got a waffle and it was great as well. We will definitely check this place out on our next trip back to tow.
