I am currently visiting my elderly mom in Ann Arbor, MI. I was helping her fix things around the house, one of which was to repair her living room vertical blinds. They were not closing, it looked like a hardware problem! On investigating, I learned that she had replaced the track a couple of years ago. The house was built in 1998 and the blinds worked fine for 20 years at which point there was an issue with the track that was replaced two years back. I further learned that the track was installed by her handy man instead of a professional blind specialist. Being on a tight budget and wanting to be green, she really wanted to see if the blinds could be repaired at a nominal cost. Some other blind specialists had assessed to āreplace the blinds both hardware and the veinsā because they were not repairable, which was the very expensive option. I kept asking the fundamental question that the blinds worked for 20 years with the old track and fail after 2 years with the new trackā¦.could this be the quality of the blind hardware perhaps? It turns out that part of the problem was a faulty installation by the handy man. This problem led me to the PHENOMENAL Josh Barron of Esquire Interiors (which by the way is a third generation family run business I later learned), he impressed me with:
His excellent listening skills with my mom to understand the problem with the blinds and then solving the problem very methodically and precisely. He asked my mom thoughtful questions and genuinely wanted to understand the issue and when he sensed that mom was struggling to explain he did a FaceTime call with her which made it easier for my mom to show him the issue at hand. Josh was able to determine on the phone that he strongly felt that he could repair the blinds at a very reasonable cost. Thus saving her a big expense! His knowledge, competence and tenacity at problem solving the issue was truly inspiring. He tried many things to diagnose and fix the issue. There was a lot of trial and error as he eliminated possibilities and then the problem was fixed!!! He graciously agreed to look at momās other blinds and fixed their minor issues, shortening the blind in some places due to the house settling and lubricating the tracks as necessary. He did all the extra without charging. This is how we take care of our seniors! Thank you, Josh!
Josh is very competent (knows his trade very well, I learned he was working with his dad building tracks at the tender age of 8!), very customer centric, and very high on integrity and compassionā¦.a winning combination! He will be our āgo toā person for all things blinds from now on and when we are ready to get new blinds....we will go to his...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy husband and I cannot say enough good things about Esquire. We had our house built in Dexter, Michigan and we needed blinds for our entire house. In our previous home, we had Hunter Douglas honeycomb blinds and really wanted the same in our new house. After visiting the store we quickly found what we wanted but WOW were they expensive. We had no idea!
Pam worked with us on several occasions (we were THOSE annoying people without an appointment) and we were impressed by her knowledge and willingness to help. We had a budget and she worked diligently to get us as close to that budget as possible while still giving us what we wanted. We had overspent on many things (as we all do) in our house and were trying to cut corners on the blinds but still looking for quality. Pam never treated us as if we were a nuisance even though we kept asking for a new quote to fit into our budget.
We got exactly what we wanted and were very happy with the quality. When it came to installation, the blinds were installed as soon as they arrived. Mark was ready to install before we expected and extremely professional. On a side note...he got down to greet and get to know our dog before getting to work. Even our dog was impressed! Mark installed an entire house in the blink of an eye and we hardly even know he was there. He was in and out of a new house install in less than two hours!
Overall, I would recommend Esquire to everyone. We didn't realize this at the time but they also have tile, flooring, wall coverings and fabrics. The service and knowledge is above all. It's a little pricey Remember when you purchase blinds they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and I love the fact that we don't have to worry about fixing our blinds if anything goes...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe installers from Esquire Interiors just left after putting up new Hunter-Douglas shades throughout our house. We are thrilled with everything about the shades and more significantly, the service Equire Interiors provided us. From our first visit to their showroom to the installation, the folks at Esquire Interiors were simply amazing.
Molly guided us through the selection process, a challenging endeavor given the vast array of styles in Esquire Interior's showroom and our general ignorance about shades. Her knowledge of their products, ability to understand our goals, and no-pressure, good humor made our first visit a pleasure. She then came out to the house, lugging big display cases, and all necessary measurement tools to help us make final selections and place our order. Her eye for detail and design were just what we needed.
Josh spent the morning installing and giving us the instructions about how to operate the different shades we purchased. Apart from his skillful craftmanship, we appreciated his patience in ensuring we understood everything.
It was clear Molly and Josh were proud of working for Esquire Interiors, a third-generation family business as they told us. We suspect Equire Interiors must be pleased to have Molly and Josh representing their company. We could not be happier.
Their showroom is stocked with lots of other "stuff" for the house, including carpets and chairs. My guess is this will not be our last purchase from...
