Yourist Pottery Studio — Attraction in Scio Township

My wife and I visited here for our 9th wedding anniversary. The traditional gift for 9th wedding anniversary is pottery so I thought this might be a nice outing for my wife and I. We had an appointment with instructor Kay. We arrived early and everyone was friendly and allowed us to tour around the shop. Kay set every thing up for us and guided us through the process of "throwing" a pot. We made seven bowls Kay helping us through when we hit trouble spots. Kay was happy to take pictures of us turning the pots.

The teachers here are great, and the community is incredibly welcoming and helpful! Whether you're a complete beginner or advanced student, I would highly recommend taking classes here or joining the studio as a community member. I have loved the wheel classes I took with David and Kevin, and the hand building class...

A great studio to take classes!!! Everyone is very friendly and helpful!!! They are taking lots of caution for covid....spacing out wheels and limiting class sizes....if your looking for a place to throw some clay....check...
