Rockwell Amusements — Local services in Scituate

I was at a carnival, run by Rockwell Amusements, in CT yesterday. I got on the Ferris wheel with my 4 year old daughter, and 5 and 7 year old nephews. While we were on the ride a microburst struck, while we were at the top. I had 3 small children screaming, shaking, and crying in fear from how hard the rain was hitting us, and carriage was swaying. The ride attendant kept the ride moving, and made us ride three additional full passes around, stopping us at the top every time, before letting us off finally. An 11 year old in the carriage next to ours started having a panic attack, also pleading to be let off. It was the scariest thing I’ve had to endure, mostly because of my fear for the kids. They were too afraid to go on anymore rides after that, and once the rain and storm had stopped. Just to paint a picture, countless trees are now down in CT, as well as power outages. This company has the saddest group of carnival workers I've ever seen. One carnival ride operator was more miserable than the next. I seriously thought I was on Candid Camera. None of them smiled. Some of them didn't speak a word. Others just grunted. One of them snatched tickets right out of my hand. The turnout was very low, and the carnival was mostly empty. Some of the rides and games were not operating. Others had one or two people on them. If you want to be depressed, this is the carnival for you: misery...
