What a horrid experience offered by a very unpleasant man. Perry is polite at first, but given any amount of time he will show his very unpleasant colors. When I entered the store he called me “darl’n” that’s fine. When I asked to handle a pistol he then called me “kid,” I’m a grown woman. That was just the start.

For some reason I allowed this man to yell his politics at me and my boyfriend for a very long time. My boyfriend said he wanted to understand Perry and give him a chance… but there is no hope here.

Perry ranted and raved, and called us a lot things. He said he was proud to hollar at the “liberals” coming into his store trying to buy guns. "Liberals” don’t BUY guns. And we are blue-collar, gun owning people who came from a ranch with our own chickens… this guy is something else!

We fled this shop and will NEVER EVER return. Spend your cash another place. We left for shops very far away, once we told them we drove an hour to see them because our local FFL was a piece of work. EVERY shop we talked to looked at us and said, “Was it Perry? Yeah, we get A LOT of his customers driving over the hill. He’s… something.”

FLEE! RUN! IT’S NOT WORTH A MOMENT...

Went into the shop, me and my boyfriend were looking for some ammo and a gun for myself. Walking into the shop it was so loud. And then as we got closer to the counter to be helped there were shot glasses lined up down the counter. My boyfriend felt very uncomfortable and berated by the guy. I try not to make things awkward so I laughed along, bought a gun and some ammo and left. Never planned to go back, but my bf has been searching for more ammo and the last few times we have tried calling to check in whether they have what we are looking for they tell us that they do not have time for this, and HANGS UP. This is ur business and you do not have time to answer a simple question for a customer interested in purchasing from u?! Mind you, we do not live in the area it’s an hour drive for us. Whose time is really wasted here? Perry answering a simple question on whether he has what we are looking for (which I’m guessing takes one minute at the most) or us driving an hour there and another hour back to find out. Ridiculous and rude and super unprofessional. I will not waste another ounce of time on the business. Save yourself the hassle and find...

Interesting store. I went in to do paperwork on a pistol that I'd used Perry's as the FFLD.

It would be difficult to describe a more personable 'shopping' experience in my lifetime.

I was only there to complete payment, fill out the paperwork, and (oh yeah, my firearm safety card had expired). I figured in and out.

Not so much.

What I found were the owner and 2 employees who were as versed, knowledged, and personable about their business than I'd ever experienced. I was made to feel like I was family and engaged in a 45 minute talk session of hints, help, stories, techniques, and general good cheer and Stellar Customer Service.

I'd give this business an 11 out of 10. I'll be recommending it to my LEO compradres here in Santa Cruz County.

They've made a lifelong customer out of me with 1 visit. I honestly felt like I was standing in my Grandfather's gun shop in Indiana when I was a little boy. Talk, advice, common sense, fair pricing, invaluable knowledge, and being made to feel like I belonged after walking in the door.

Now, if my bank, and contractors could just be like this shop.......
