I have been a faithful shopper at the Scotts Valley location since it opened. Most of my experiences have been great until today. I had a cart full of items but there were no registers open. I approached the self checkout area but the woman working there waved me off, and said I should go to the service desk. The woman at the service desk disappeared. Four other shoppers with carts were also waiting to checkout. The woman at self checkout decided to open a register to help with the line but then said she would only do 10 items or less at the register! This frustrated me and the other people in line. The self checkout woman returned to the self checkout area. Nobody was still at the service desk. The self checkout woman opened the register a second time. A few of the people in line mentioned I was still waiting. I asked the self checkout woman if she would take me now, but she did not acknowledge me at all. Finally a man came to the service desk to take my larger order, after waiting about 15 minutes. I left angry, and I probably will not return to the Scotts...
Read moreI am super glad this target finally opened. Now I don't have to drive all the way to the one on 41st. This store is on the smaller size but well organized.
There is also a Starbucks in there which I'm glad because we lack starbucks stores in this area because 4 starbucks stores in a 200 yard radius is not enough.
On the opening day there was absolutely no parking spots available but I hope in few days or so we won't have to deal with no parking spots and crazy traffic at that intersection.
Also, I did not see any electric car chargers which is weird since they remodeled the whole shopping center. Although if you need to charge your car there are a couple chargers in the shopping center next to it by the drive thru starbucks.
There are 6 self checkout registers which makes checking out easier and quicker. They also have a drive up for picking up your online orders.
All in all having a target 7 mins from my...

I was unable to find coats, shoes, pJ's, or anything else but a sparse selection of housewares and electronics which I'm not interested in. Disappointed but not defeated, I then hit SV Goodwill: I found a burgundy faux leather peplum coat, black structured but stretchy short dress, mauve crossbody bag, cat eye sunglasses, a long black fitted sweater, a mauve and black plaid scarf, a dress shirt, cable knit crop sweater, and a graphic tee; all items nearly new, high end, beautiful and comfy...all for under $50! Don't get me wrong, I concur with the popular opinion of my acquaintances, that having a Target in that space IS better than nothing, and I will probably pop in from time to time to see what new stuff they've got in, however I will be shopping...
