Dollar General — Local services in Scottsboro

Terrible customer service at this location! I considered applying for an upper management position, but before I do so... please someone audit this store and hire valuable employees. Pay the store manager's a decent wage and I know that they will do a better job. Customers do not enjoy extended waiting to check out, or to find an associate for assistance. I was rushed out so fast by the dark headed, tall, goofy guy that wears glasses and his shift leader. . That he upset my one year old baby!!! I ended up leaving with 2-3 items that did not get scanned because he didn't!bag an of my merchandise, and told me that they are closing soon and I would have to leave.. he lied to me about having adult oragel and said, "this is all we have" (it was infant aragel) so I said, "NO and let me go look".. Went in today 11/7/24 got what I needed in my basket and went to the check out line. There were 5 people in front of me and probably about 8 to 10 behind me. The lady checking out was the only one there I did not see the other employees. I felt sorry for the lady she looked flustered. When it was my turn she proceeded to tell me my internet has been down all day no cards just cash. I dont keep cash on my so I just gave her my basket and started to walk out along with most of the people behind me who over heard what she told me. It's frustrating when you have waited in line 15 or 20 minutes only to be told that its cash only when the store should have it posted on the front doors and at all check outs CASH ONLY TODAY! Don't let your customers wait...

I've been going here for a while, and this review is probably over due. The people there from Alleta, jordan, Amy and Darlene. And most recently a nice young lady by the name of Hailey. They're always working and moving about super hard and fast. Seem to be possibly under staffed but still manage to meet folks with a smile, and help every customer. DG is the closest store to my house, and having this lineup of staff makes me happy I can have familiar faces and knowledge carrying people help me out.
