Gerrity's Ace — Local services in Scranton

I've only ever been in a Gerrity store once before long ago but recently moved to lackawanna county and there's quite a few around here, I got a $25.00 gift card to Gerrity from work so I went in to check out what I could get for Thanksgiving dinner that I needed on this $25 budget wich I did with the food but went over because I went crazy in this store they have so much stuff! A bakery with all kinds of baked goods you can think of and everything looks fresh and delicious, right next to the donuts there's a little coffee station to get coffee I found really neat and convenient, they have some nice toys and stocking stuffers, beautiful christmas decorations and other items, wrapping paper, cards, all kinds of odds and ends, they have a pizza and sub shop also awesome, a great deli, amazing produce and meats, when I tell you everything here looks very fresh and tasty I'm not lying! The best part is the discounts, deals, & coupons and you know I got myself a store card now! The staff are very pleasant and friendly especially the woman standing at the customer service desk she was very nice and helpful! I ended up spending more than my gift card but you can't help it at this store like I said I went crazy lol but didn't go over $50 with store deals! I'll be going back especially when I'm kid free with some...

On 9/17/25 I visited the ACE hardware store at Keyser Oak looking to replace my 20 year old Weber Genesis Grill. Justin greeted me as I walked in the door and was able to immediately show me the grills at the store. Justin was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, a real asset to the company. Bob Peacock, Operations Manager happened to be visiting the store that day and between the Justin and Bob I was in great hands. The grill was on sale, there was free assembly and delivery along with free hot dogs and burgers from the adjacent Gerritys Market! Upon checkout for my new Genesis grill I met Izzy, another very pleasant person. Two days later Josh (from the Clarks Summit store; also a very pleasant person) delivered my grill right on time. Justin, Bob, Izzy and Josh are all great assets to the company. Even though Gerritys Ace Hardware at Keyser Oak is not "around the corner" for me, I am sure that I will be a frequent customer and have additional very pleasant...

I have to say thanks to this store! I drove over an hour (one way) because this Ace was the only store in the region that had the specific model Ego brand lawn mower I was searching for. I was so relieved that the website was accurate and it was in fact in stock. So many stores are failing these days at inventory, even large expense items somehow! Not the case here. I walked in and found it immediately. An associate assisted me in getting the large box onto a cart and into my Jeep. I didn’t have to ask. That’s excellent customer service. The young guy who rang it up was nice and (sorry not sorry) a cutie 😏 I didn’t get the change to really explore the store. It was almost closing time and I got what I came for. I wouldn’t hesitate to visit this store again when in the area and need something they’d have. Will recommend this Ace to a few people I know...
