They have rearranges the aisles making much more difficult to find things fir people who have shopped there a long time. It's not good for Covid-19 precautions and social distancing when my friend had to go yo and down every aisle to find his groceries. Additionally for improved social distancing the aisles should be marked on the floor and on the end of the aisle saying "go this way only" or "don't enter this aisle in this direction". I've seen the signs, red and green respectively to indicate direction. Now not everyone will follow or even notice the signs but with things like overhead announcements, it does help a lot. Today in 1 aisle half was taken up by staff with a cart stocking shelves and 2 old people with the huge carts going in one direction and a couple of others from the opposite direction. It was a big snarl up with people, carts and a supply rack with staff. I do have to say that shelves were well stocked except for cleaning supplies which is a nationwide problem. There were sheets of protective plastic to separate the cashier and shopper but I didn't notice cleaning of register belts nor the POS terminals. There is a supply of disinfectant wipes where you enter....

I have shopped at the Kaiser Oak and Clarks Summit stores for many years. Though I sometimes do go to Wegmans and Walmart as well as wise supermarkets for specialty items or special sales. Or for other reasons. My go to place is still Gerritys for well over 1/2 of what I purchase. That in itself illustrates that I like the place. Its bakery, deli, dairy, and produce sections are all very good especially for a small chain like this is. The workers are largely competent and friendly. I can get most anything I want there at a fair price and their sales specials are as good or better than most. Impressively, when they switched over from one major supplier to another and, they didn't have certain things that were favorites of regulars who shopped and complained, they added many of these things back to their shelves. The "new" stores now appear to be doing better than the old stores to me. Their sale prices are competitive with anyone. Their quality is as well. The people who work there at least 90% of them let's say to be fair are terrific. Of course they're always exceptions to everything but I will continue to shop at these stores for...

Years ago Gerritys was amazing, now it seems like customer service is a thing of the past. I had an issue at the Keyser Ave store a few months back, we didn’t get the cheese I bought, when I called to ask if it was left behind at the register I was told they would call back after they reviewed the security footage to make sure I didn’t steal it, really, almost $200 order and I am going to take a lousy pack of cheese? They called back hours later and said the bagger put it in the next customers bag and if I really wanted it I could come back...yes I wanted it I paid for it. Now Sun we bought a buy one get one item, I was charged full price for both so my husband takes the receipt in and the cashier says they are not included, well READ your own ad properly, they ARE included. I had to call and point out to them they don’t even read their own ad correctly and now another trip to the store to get my money. I am through with them treating customers this way.....there is way too much grocery competition and many other choices where I can...
