NEVER AGAIN
At first highly recommended now they won't do warranty work because of their mistake, I'll never go back!
November 22nd, 2024
I went to Sealy Dental today at noon. I went because I had extreme pain coming from a root crown performed by Dr. Henderson on a prior occasion which Dr. Henderson drilled into a root, put some kind of live culture on the exposed root slapped the crown on and called that good.
Now that the root is going bad, Dr. Henderson, (now I'm told is just a general dentist) says I have to see a specialist for his mistake. If I had know that I would have to pay for his mistake at a specialist in the first place, I wouldn't have had him touch my teeth!
He was more worried about making money from new dental work in my mouth than fixing my painfully tooth. It makes me feel I'm getting kicked out the door because I'm not new money and fixing my tooth wouldn't be new money it would be warranty work.
Dr Henderson said he'd hate to have to cut off the crown he put on to access the root but the office assistant said they've drilled through crowns before.
I will never use their service again.ive given them high praises before, this is the first time I've had to have warranty work done which they will not do. Why would dentist pur a crown on an exposed root to begin with? Why would a dentist not send me to specialist first if there was the chance in exposing a root? Why would a dentist have called that good knowing the customer could have more cost down the road???
Another thing after I learned the office manager was conveniently gone when I need to speaker to her I left through the exit door the I turned around and five of the front office personnel where smiling as if this was standard practice. No other customers were there. Is this...
Read moreI went in scared, in pain, and overwhelmedâand left feeling relieved, cared for, and deeply grateful. The staff was compassionate and patient, and the dentist who did my extraction was incredibly gentle and reassuring. What couldâve been a traumatic experience became something I walked through with dignity and peaceâthanks to them.
I especially appreciate that the care was provided free of charge. In a world where so many people fall through the cracks, this place caught me and reminded me that kindness and skill still exist in healthcare.
Thank you from the bottom of my heartâfor treating me not just as a patient, but as a person.
EDIT: After a week of ongoing pain following the extraction, I called to follow up. I had been told during my visit that both antibiotics and pain medication would be prescribed, but only the antibiotic came through. When I asked for clarification, I was told that the provider âisnât able to prescribe pain medication,â and was urged to rely on ibuprofen and Tylenolâboth of which I had already been taking with little relief.
As someone recovering from a C-section, managing chronic pain, and caring for young children, I felt vulnerable and was simply trying to stay functional and follow up responsibly. Unfortunately, I left the call feeling like my pain wasnât taken seriously. I also felt, honestly, like I may have been viewed as someone seeking medication for the wrong reasonsâeven though I was just asking for support with very real, ongoing pain.
I still hold gratitude for the kindness and care I received during the procedure itself. But Iâm sharing this full experience in hopes that others in similar situations will be met with a more complete sense of trust, understanding,...
Read moreI canât say enough wonderful things about Sealy Dental! Britt Martinez is an absolute angel! She reached out to me after hearing about the pain I was in, I had tried multiple dentists offices for help by this point and was in so much pain! Sealy Dental even stayed open after hours for me when I mistakenly drove 40 minutes to the wrong location. From the moment I arrived, every single staff member was incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. Britt checked in with me the entire time, making me feel completely cared for. She will now be my dental hygienist until the end of time!!!!!!!
I didn't catch the name of the lady that did my X-rays, but she was so kind and compassionate. She was gentle, and checked on me every step during those sometime uncomfy X-ray positions. Jackie was fantastic too, super friendly and patient, answering all my questions while scanning me for my mouthguard. And the icing on the cake? Dr. Reyes herself. She is an amazing person. I have never felt so comfortable or cared for in a dental chair! She took her time explaining everything she was doing, even after hours, and patiently answered my seemingly endless questions. She then took care of the issue I was having, and I instantly felt relief. I could cry writing this review honestly.
This may sound like an exaggeration, but it truly isnât. Sealy Dental is incredible. Their teamâs kindness, professionalism, and genuine care make them, in my opinion, the best dental office in Texas. Every single person deserves this level of care. I highly recommend going to see the team at Sealy Dental, you wonât be...
