I went to see a priceless film called "Carpe Kilimanjaro" about dementia and Alzheimer's. The movie made the night! The exterior of the Rialto Theater is beautiful and, I believe, there is a fundraising venture going on to upgrade the seats inside the theater which would be a definite boost to theater-goers! The movie was offered to the public for free with the customer paying for refreshments, a fair deal. There were free books on dementia and Alzheimer's being offered to the theater-goers that night, very generous, and I took 2 books for future reference (aging parents + my husband & I are aging).    Read moreSuch a wonderful little gem in our community! I wish I had the ability to fund it more properly. The atmosphere and staff are amazing, they are always so kind and friendly. The prices are phenomenal, this is a place anyone can go to watch the big screen. We watched Cruella on Saturday Mattinee and for five people to get in it was $5, and for snacks and drinks, ALL of us got something for a total of less than $20. I know they are working on getting new seats and I am glad, so if anyone has the ability to give a little more please do as this place is worth investing in.    Read moreThe Five-Minute Film Festival is a highlight of my husband's & my marriage!!! TV16 had a great-looking duo there to interview the attendees and the eventual Winners. We were greeted with FREE Popcorn + FREE Soda Pops!!! The films shown were shown efficiently, and the audience showed their appreciation often, with hearty laughter, and occasional compassionate sighs, and enthusiastic applause. My husband, Tod Martin, won Best Supporting Actor, and interviewed with TV16, and walked the Red Carpet -- quite a night to remember and the Award will be cherished by Tod forever!!!
