So, I’ve never been here. Ask the burrito girl how it works. She started talking explaining the process. She was pointing at food items but the lighting was so dark I couldn’t see any items she add to my tacos until they were on my taco. I worry when I can’t see food. People kept interrupting as she built my tacos. I finally was at the cashier and she rings up $19 for 3 tacos and a drink. The drink was $2.88, so basically $5 per taco. I went to sit and eat and they were cold. I can only assume that the basic customer is a HU student who spending mom and dad’s money. Because $5 cold tacos are outrageous and I will never recommend this place or eat here again.
So if you have read this, you can see their response. To counter, if someone visits any eating establishment, and must request the things I touched on, the visit becomes work, tedious and time consuming for the customer on a lunch break. Also, the negative attitude when bringing problems to the establishment’s issue is drama and time consuming. Plus unless you watch the re-preparing you don’t know what someone might do to your food. So, they will train and/or address the problems or fade away eventually like most eventually do because they take it personally and get their egos crushed. I, for one, will not pay those prices for cold food that was really bland even after adding chipotle sauces. Good luck with the...
Read moreI am damn impressed with Burrito Day. Hands down, the best salsa in Searcy and possibly White County, Arkansas. On a dark, dreary day I tasted a freshness that took me back to a backyard summer gathering. Everything about the salsa and the other food we ordered had a freshness that made me think of food being made in my own kitchen, which is crazy rare in a restaurant.
We had dillas and burritos with different ingredients and combinations to try them out for our first experience. We also enjoyed the fruit tea which, by the way, goes EXCELLENT with a shot of tequila added for the adults. Our 85 year old down to our 4 year old agreed that this was the best take out they've had in five years.
Best of all, over all the praise I've heaped, this food is not greasy! There's a time for grease and there's a time for fun, messy food. This food was fresh and not dripping or annoying with grease. That's my wife's greatest sticking point after the salsa. She felt their pickup option is perfect for lunch with just-right sized portions and presentation.
Hat's off to you, Burrito Day. You've got much better prices than Rock House, Colton's, or any of the others and better food for now....
Read moreToday was my third visit here, I’ll preface this review by saying the first two were pretty good, hence I came back a third time. Today was disappointing though. I always get nachos and usually chicken but today I had decided I wanted ground beef, they were out of ground beef…on a Saturday. Uh…go to the store and get some?! Why is this a thing at all?! So I go ahead and get chicken. As the guy was spooning the toppings of my choice onto the bed of chips he made no attempt to drain and liquid from the chicken sitting in water (maybe broth) or the beans also sitting in liquid. This resulted in a pile of mushy nachos that I only ate half of and with a spoon because it was like cereal. My boyfriend got a burrito and because the same method was used his tortilla was soggy and gummy. He asked for chips so he could just dump the contents of his burrito onto them(he explained this to the employee) and she charged him for chips! Bad business if you ask me, very...
